Just got my xbox a few days ago. Bought the microsoft game subscription which comes with halo 5. downloaded 96GB to get the game going and first thing i did when the game was downloaded and i could open it was get box live subscription. Now that I have the gold subscription and try and play multiplayr it says this mode required an account with xbox live gold with multiplayer privilages enabled and a connection to xbo live…I can open home or dismiss. if i open home it sends me to the purchase subscrition page and I already have a subscription. purchased it a couple more times now i have 3 months worth…
STILL CANT PLAY MULTIPLAYER … very annoying after waiting for 96GB download
Does anyone have a solution for this? i’ve tried hard resetting xbox and also deleting account and re-adding it.
This subscriptions that come along with games may just give you a few days of gold, maybe it has already timed out. I recommend you to link your credit/debit card in order to have a automatic charge for your gold memebership or tu buy prepaid cards so the gold can be charged directly onto your account; another way is to buy Xbox Live Gold cards that are for specific time like 3 months, 12 months, etc. I recommend you to verify that all your personal information is well weitten in your Microsoft account.
Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and check to make sure that you have an active Xbox LIVE Gold subscription; make sure that it has an expiration date set in the future. Once you verify that you have an active subscription, contact Xbox support about the issue. Tell them that you verified your Gold subscription is active and that you have cleared your cache and reinstalled the game (assuming you have uninstalled then reinstalled the game). Do not purchase any more months of Gold until you get the issue solved; otherwise your wasting more money. Do you have other multiplayer games for your Xbox you can test to see if the issue is only with Halo 5? You can also go to your console’s settings and test the internet connection and multiplayer connection.
It’s worth asking whether your account is a child account and whether there are parental restrictions set up preventing you from accessing online content.
