This medal has always haunted me… Finally i was able to obtain it. Not sure if this is how its meant to be obtained but it kinda makes sense. I also find it doing it this way much harder then what the actual description entails. So if you need help getting it or never knew how, hope this helps!

I have seen youtube videos where it just pops up… very odd medal indeed
I remember getting my first Sayonara medal. When I saw it pop up, I was in disbelief for a good bit. The poor guy must’ve spawned in, only to fall through the map to their death.

My Fuel Rod must’ve done some splash damage, and I presume they had the misfortune of spawning under the map, falling to their death.

Ah gotcha. I just had a company member send me a video of spawning in those horizontal tubes right next to that base, almost where you shot that banshee bomb.

Thats an interesting one! I really hope the medals get polished so there are no unlockable/glitched ones when infinite rolls around. Id love to make the 100% medal completion push but some dont unlock so why bother. I also think there should be some kind of reward for it, its quite impressive to complete such a list.

Let me give an explanation on how to get it.
Kind of like the Assisted Suicide medal in Call of Duty. You need to damage an enemy right before they fall of the map or hit a death barrier.

That doesn’t work though. Ive shot many of spartans as they fell to their death & got noting.

Agreed, I have 20,000 odd kills, and have seen players fall off maps that I have hit, but not a single sayanora medal.

The only one I have ever gotten was on skirmish at darkstar. I injured an enemy and they glitched through the map and the medal popped.

The have to hit a hard kill barrier when out of bounds. Can also unlock it if you’re getting hijacked and drive off a cliff
Think theres an unfixed bug that stops it from unlocking when someone falls to their death
