I’ve been trying to get as many medals as possible. Especially now that my Spartan Company is close to getting Achilles Armor. I’ve never gotten the sayanora medal in the years I’ve played halo 5. Searching the web proves how rare this medal is and from what I gathered it can only be gotten in warzone and mostly in map glitch areas. Any advice is helpful. If you have proof of getting the medal I want to see it! Thanks
Personally I thought it was impossible to get. It’s been one of those broken things since launch.
I’ve had the medal for months at this point and I’m still genuinely unsure as to how I got it.
Apparently you have to force the enemy through the map to their deaths (or something like that), but I don’t remember ever doing that.

That’s what I’ve found. Only works when a glitch occurs and yet it’s part of the commendation requirements for Achilles. Thank God a cluster luck counts in the same category.

It can happen if an enemy jumps in your warthog and you drive them off a cliff. Supposedly

That’s actually the only reliable way of getting the medal; let them into your vehicle and drive over a cliff. Sure it’ll kill you both, but you will get the medal.
I believe Defend The House done a myth on this and literally the ONLY way to get this medal without being in forge (or customs?) is to play warzone on Battle of Noctus where there’s (What I presume) a bit of the wall with no physics to hop into and when someone dies IN that area, you get the medal, otherwise it’s either impossible / the hardest medal to get.
The only way I’ve gotten the medal (the only one I have) is, as I was jacking someone’s ghost in BTB (on the Risen map), the enemy drove off into the water where we both died. I got credit for the kill as well as getting the Sayonara medal. Given the description for getting it (putting a shot on someone who’s falling to their death), you’d think it’d be easier to get. But clearly, that doesn’t do the trick.
I have gotten a single one and it was in an arena game type. I have the clip recorded somewhere… i can’t remember the circumstances though

It’s true. I’ve done it before. Really hard, but I managed.
Wouldn’t it also work if you Spartan Charge someone near a cliff? Because the description says that you have to force an enemy to their death, and Spartan Charge knocks an enemy back. If they fall down the cliff, you shold get Sayanora.
Unless it’s been bugged for the last 2 years, and 343 can’t be bothered to fix it.

Spartan Charges instant kill people, so maybe not. But the Ground pound might work.

No. They have to already be falling to their deaths (i.e. suicide), and then you put a shot in them, in order to supposedly get the Sayonara medal. Knocking them off yourself doesn’t do it.

Believe it or not I managed to get it while playing castle wars. If I remember correctly, I blew up a mongoose and somehow managed to get the medal after seeing him fall XD
I got one on skirmish at darkstar, but I didn’t notice it until after the match ended so I couldn’t tell you how it happened. Probably a glitch.
Wouldn’ the medal be earned just for shooting someone that jumps off the map? That’ how the medal disruption makes it sound.
Honestly I didn’t even know what the heck the medal even was! I just has to look it up. :S
