Say you where the director of 343 the leader of halo, what matchmaking game modes would you bring back or add?

I don’t think it’s called a director, but anyways, I’d probably put in all the essential game modes, and just do whatever I can to make it a more enjoyable experience.

First thing I would do is remove Spartan charge from ranked play. The second thing I would do is make separate stats for ranked, social and warzone. Third I would make a team slayer(strictly slayer) and team objective(strictly objective ctf, one flag, strongholds, odd ball, and ricochet). Then I would also separate btb into a btb slayer(which would include heavies) and btb objective(maybe include heavies)… I would have the ranked playlist as follows… FFA, 2v2 and 4v4, they would be a mix of slayer and objective game types because I feel for rank you should be able to play any map and any game type(I know some may disagree with this but it’s how I would have it, also ranking in FFA would work different than the team stuff which clearly more weight would go towards your individual performance.) The social playlist would be FFA, 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, and 8v8. The social playlist would have a menu option that let a player select game types, player types, and even maps so you would always get the games you want. Granted the more specific you are the longer your matchmaking maybe but at least you would get the games you want.

Pretty much something like that.

Invasion would be top priority for me. Then Dominion, neutral flag, Ricochet, KOTH, oddball, and VIP.

Irrelevant but if I was I would have an in-game poll asking this question so to reach any and all Players and go from there

Also…I would make sure Locke is killed within the first 5 minutes if halo 6 just for good measure

Oh, and I would also demote Brian Reed to janitor for creating such a horrible narrative. And then take the guy who said “Let’s make fans say ‘What are you doing to Halo! You’re ruining Halo!’” and make him executive janitor.

Warzone Turbo. Oldschool Firefight. CTF.

I’d add a classic playlist with no spartan abilities all on remastered and remade forge maps from Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo Reach (possibly). 2nd I’d ONLY add Race, Oddball, and KOTH, I wouldn’t want my employees working on more REQ Items. 3rd, I’d give the snipers a permanent playlist, along with fiesta, CTF, and other gamemodes that the community want to see more.

I would imagine one person doesn’t ultimately decide what goes in and what goes out when it comes to making AAA games.

I’d get rid of micro-transactions…

I’m fairly certain the head of 343 isn’t really involved with the games playlists and modes either…

I can’t remember the last time i was compelled to click “like” on most of the comments in a single thread! I am LOVING these ideas! This community knows this game so much better than 343!

Well, I’d make a playlist like we got now and a playlist of no sprint, radar, and grenade hitmarkers.

Also, after every two content updates, make a bug-fixing/optimization update. Art team can spend this time making assets for the next content update. And that’s really about it.

First thing I would do is make sure that the next halo game is complete at launch.

That means a game to launch with the following playlists.

Warzone modes

Warzone,warzone assault, warzone firefight. Weekend warzone turbo. With at least 5 maps each mode at launch. 3 maps got to stale too fast. Update the weapon supply each month through the req system.

Arena modes

A pure competative playlist that is 100% influenced by the pro community. This only includes settings maps and modes set up by the pro community.

The following playlists would not be influenced by pro players.
Team objective- this would include the classic modes that havnt been able to make it in Tournamnet play, like KOTH, oddball, neutral flag, ricochet, assault etc.

Team slayer
Swat
btb, a real btb
griff
infection
action sack
doubles
ffa
snipes
i would leave super firsta permanant as I think it’s the most popular of the social modes.
Replace breakout with a new arena mode to the halo series. I hate breakout.

I would keep weapon balance pretty much just like it is.

I would keep all abilities except for I would tweak the following. In warzone all abilities are continued on the halo 5 path. In arena I want to move like the zombies in infection. At that speed without sprint. This would allow for fast flowing dynamic gameplay and would increase offence as we could shoot while moving at full speed.

I would launch with a working forge and custom game browser. I think this is the next step for halo and will be a major game changer.

I would keep the req system. It’s so much better than paying for DLC or being content locked. However I would keep unlockables achievement based armors.

Most importantly I would look at the biggest demand in the gaming community. A full game complete and relatively glitch free at launch. It’s something that has been wanted for a long time now since the next gen game releasing formula. The first company that gets it right has a good chance of dominating the FPS matket.

I would make sure the servers work like their supposed to.

Oh yes. I’d also like to ensure that I hire all the artists and sound designers.

And to be brutally honest. If Halo 5 had a strong story like the old ones, sounded like the old ones and looked like the old ones (art/sfx wise) I could care less about its gameplay.
