But it was a step in the right direction with being able to direct your allies. Seriously, trying to play through Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST on Legendary is a nightmare for all the wrong reasons- when you’re so reliant on your allies in Warthog sequences and they’re literally too stupid to function, it’s horrible, stupid, frustrating, idiotic gameplay. I hope that they expand this function in Halo 6 and allow you to point out targets for marines in your vehicles.
But Legendary in Halo 5 is also a nightmare.
Locke: “I’m down, help me up!”
Buck: “Lel I’m a sweg ODST!” jumps off cliff
Vale: speaking in Sangheili gibberish
Tanaka: “I’m coming Locke!” runs into enemy fire, gets downed
Locke: “I hate my life.”
This is me playing Halo 5 Legendary.
Yeah, that much sucks, though in effect it’s not much different then just getting shot to death in other campaigns, as you just die anyway.

I guess this means that campaigns are just more fun with friends, doesn’t it? I think that ordering Marines would be pretty cool, because some of those guys have mental illnesses.
It’s not bad if you use your squad correctly. They were able to save my -Yoink- so many times on legendary. They are meant to be a tool, not a crutch. All tools need to be used the right way in order to be effective.
But it’s frustrating when your marines that you’re reliant on don’t do what they’re supposed to. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve died because my warthog gunner stays still and watches while a ghost shoots me dead.

ALL halo games are a nightmare in legendary, but when you have completed it you feel satisfied of a job well done
