While I am a fan of Pro, I am not a fan of its placement.
Its like if you took Halo 3 and put Ranked and Social slayer in the same playlist.
No one would be happy.
What absolutely bugs the hell out of me are people’s attitudes here.
As if Pro is finally here, so lets rub it in peoples faces and do everything we can to make sure Infinity is never played again.

Was it really so bad to only be able to play a Social gametype for so long?

That’s only balanced so long as there is a Skill Matching system that actually works. Otherwise, at the player level, if an organized Team is placed against Randoms, it becomes horribly unbalanced giving no chance for the Randoms to even the playing ground. Like Infinity currently does.
I say yes to Slayer Pro, Infinity settings are a steaming pile of refuse.
I prefer regular version, because I can use whatever weapon/secondary/armor abilities I want. It just lets me play the way I’m best at playing, you know? Also, I think the voting choices are bad. There is usually two pro maps out and one regular map. Sometimes, it’s all pro maps. Just maybe bring the voting choice to one or two pro maps, and add a radar. Then I’ll be fine.
Well, I’d say the OP’s plan backfired. That just goes to show that even people who like the game understand the importance of having different options for different players. You like Infinity settings? Plenty of playlists with those, no problem. You want a more traditional experience? No problem. Nobody has to play either if they don’t want to.

This, just bring the radar back and everybody’s happy (and change the name to Slayer Classic so every AR enthusiast doesn’t sh*t his/her pants in the lobby). And while we are adding things slap on Team Regicide to Infinity Slayer and we’ll have a nice mix of different settings for different play styles/people.

You say not to bring up population but infinity slayer is one of the big changes they made to Halo and is a big reason why the population is so low now. I will continue to vote for pro every single time it comes up. Infinity slayer needs to get removed from every playlist it’s in and should only show up in action sack where it belongs.

That would be Throwdown, we don’t need more Pro/Competitive playlists. What we do need is an actual Team Slayer playlist.

Why should radar be off? It’s part of the game. There is nothing more skillful about having no radar. Sprint+No radar just makes for more easy cheap assassination kills.
