Keep in mind: How difficult is it (from what we’ve seen so far) to kill someone with the SAW? Not that difficult.
From the most recent gameplay videos, I don’t think I’ll die as much(probably not die at all) just simply staying back and spraying with the SAW when I get to play at NYCC.
Some part of me watches these gameplays and feels a rush of excitement for using that weapon.
Another part of me can already see myself laughing at people praising what they think is a “skilled” player for doing something that really isn’t difficult at all, given a pretty powerful gun.
Thoughts? I don’t mean to insult or hate anyone btw, I just call 'em how I see 'em.
I don’t really see why everyone has been complaining about the SAW. I mean it is a power weapon, up there with the Rocket Launcher, Energy Sword, Sniper etc. Like said above, the name SAW is very fitting. It literally looks like you can “SAW” through enemies! From whats been shown, it looks like it will very fun to use!

It’s only effective if you hold the trigger down, spraying will get you killed.
Hell, I’ll try it out. Won’t be surprised if I got two Untouchables or something. I find myself once again at a crossroads with Halo 4…this always happens! I may be willing to accept many new changes, and undergo many adaptations, but I’ve always been a firm believer of really earning your respect in matchmaking.
Respecting and acknowledging players who got their kills in an extremely skillful manner…those are my roots. That’s how I play Halo. But c’mon, someone literally sawing people? Getting overkills with one grenade? You can’t expect me to believe that person is skilled…
I know it sounds hater-ish, and that this Halo 4 thread seems to abhor anyone who talks about skill, but like I said, it’s just who I am.
Heavy and powerweapons aren’t about technical skill in getting a kill.
Smart use of heavy and powerweapons leads to long uses of said weapons but never is intelligent or extreme technical skill required to actually get kills with near-insta kill-type weapons.
It’s missing the point to argue differently.

Do people not reload compulsively?
When you’re not fighting another, you should be getting prepared for your next encounter. That’s why it’s so compulsive.

Yeah, I get that. I’m a smart player if I go for Rockets in Powerhouse, or go for sword or shotgun in Countdown. But I’ll admit it myself, nothing in me killing at least 4 people with those rockets qualifies me in being skilled. It just makes me smart, or even lucky according to Halo 4’s weapon drop system. And something about that bothers me.

Its a matter of knowing when to reload. If an enemy is on close to me on my radar i usually won’t reload unless necessary (if i only have like 10 percent of the clip left or something like that) but if he isn’t i will reload.

I don’t get it, why play anything other than SWAT or Slayer Pro No on-map weapons if you feel heavy and powerweapons give you lucky kills?
