The campaign and Ending of Halo 5 was quite idk. I think im going to let it sink in before I judge if its bad or good yet. I did see it coming a mile away and not just cause it was obvious. Explained in Spoilers. Just wondered if anyone else caught the similarities.
I remember hearing about a alternative story for Cortana in Halo CE. Basically the Chief returns and finds Cortana gone mad with power and wanting to take over installation 04 and the universe but it never made it into the game.Which basically happens in halo 5. I did not quite see halo 5 going that direction but ill wait till halo 6 to and see if they can flesh it out better.
The legendary ending kinda leads to that eventuality, so its quite possible that the alternate story you say may come true. I still liked it, mostly because I like how they went about it with blue team and osiris’s reaction and missions.

Ya I’m only on mission 3 on legendary taking my time lol. I do hope they can flesh it out and give the story a satisfying conclusion. I guess only time will tell.
I honestly…kind of had a feeling this would happen…from the moment she got put into installation 04 back in halo 1, i had a lingering feeling in the back of my mind that she would do something like this.
