Maybe I’m missing something but did 343 not include the option to just hit a button to save an entire film? They don’t honestly expect us to record the entire match during playback do they?
Also, why no temporary saved films like 3 or Reach? Theater has been a big letdown for me.

you can still record stuff. its just that the ui is horrible in this game and hard to figure out

I also noticed when saving a clip just now that the announcer voice isn’t present after it is saved

Do you want to sit through a 12 minute video in order to record the whole thing? if it makes me lazy because I want an option that was in previous games, then call me lazy!

you said you wanted to save an ENTIRE film with a button press ? it literally moved from pressing the ‘x’ button in reach (i think) to the ‘y’ button in halo 4. no idea why your talking about watching and recording the whole film

From the menu/lobby hit start, go down to the bottom set of options where your controller settings and that are. If you scroll to the end of that there is a file browser menu, which has a tab for temporary history, you can hit Y on games in that list to bring up the option to save them. Simples… (kinda)
Just tried that, there is still no option to just save the entire film.

We’ll he has a point, if you aren’t willing to press 2 or 3 buttons, then that’s pretty bad. Go to theater and select the film you want to save, then press Y, then go down to save.
If you want to see a list of temporary games, go to Theater, then when you click select a film it’ll come up with a list of maps. Click the right thumb stick and it’ll go to another screen where you can see your temporary history etc. To save a film, just press Y on the one you want and press save.
