Honestly this is me venting but I wish I never purchased the season pass and just played PvP I may have actually enjoyed it.
There’s no reason Win matches. You gain nothing from doing well on the score board. Or is most cases even playing the objective.
One of my current challenges is it kill 10 people with the pulse carbine. Which is honestly a horrid weapon, you shoot a burst of 4 sad orbs that barely track the target and than if you got lucky and broke the shield you now honestly need to land another 8-10. I have killed 3 people with the rounds from this and not using melee by shear luck and didn’t get any credit towards the challenge. I don’t normally post on forums, but this challenge alone has put my off buying anything else from 343. Even in the training range with the gun on static targets I cant get more than 2 stars on the easiest mode. The Pulse Carbine works great on bots that move slow in large areas without cover don’t get me wrong, but vs players with equipment moving in and out of cover it honestly has poor to no effect.
Another objective is capture a flag 3 times. I have played in over 6 CTF matches now where no one has scored at ALL for the entire match, let alone get in and out alive; In both BTB and Quick Match. Getting CTF randomly has taken up to 6 games to even get.
They could have made challenges to get 50 or even 100 headshot kills with the commando and I wouldn’t even complain. Melee kills with the hammer or sword or no scopes with the sniper even. The current “Challenges” are in no way shape or forum thus far beneficial to team work, or working towards winning in a beneficial way. The have made the outlook of Halo Infinite bleak and sad compared to the MCC.
