It’s still very much alive. I think it’s the most popular old game and there have been many instances of players saying they are able to find matches more easily in Reach than in 5.
Reach doesn’t really need saving, the population is still in the mid thousands (5,200 online last night at 10:00) and I have an easier time finding a game in Reach than I do in the MCC and Halo 5. However, I wouldn’t mind a 4K patch and a PC iteration on the Windows Store. I do not think Reach should be added to the MCC since it is still doing very well being a standalone game.
Id like to see it end up on MCC one day.

i would love an anniversary game for reach out on the Xbox One. That would be so nice.
Giving it the X treatment would be the least it could be done. A PC port would also be nice, with Steam workshop for map and gamemodes. Imagine that. But I wouldn’t hope to see it in MCC.
