I can tell you are a loyal Halo fan, and 343i would appreciate you on that one, I assume. But Halo 5 was also called “The Evolution of Halo” and 343i thought they were ready to make Halo more modern than in the previous games, even though I don’t see how the other games are not modern, I’m just re-quoting someone else. According to my own gameplay, this game does not feel like the older Halos, but the fans of the previous games need an open mind and get ready for the new ideas. Forerunners were a great, powerful enemy in the last game, and some people like the challenge. They will obviously be coming back in the new edition to the Halo series. Feel free to the changes and get ready to make Halo 5 a great Halo like the other Halos. I do agree with you that this will not be the old Halo, and I will give you a friend request if you want another sister of your Halo team for my own generosity, but even if this is not Halo 1-3, this is now Halo 5, and this will be more modern with Spartan enhancements. It will be a good game, but a Halo revised. And as fans, we need to accept this and move on with the change. All games go through the period in which they evolve. And this game will have one of the harder hits because it is so popular. But you need to give Halo 5 a chance to shine like the other Halo games and stop being stuck up about the older games. I mean, the company can produce a game with graphics and a story so good. But the only thing that makes a game great is if the players, the fans, the followers, everyone believes that the game could be good. People like you make the negativity in the Halo world, and this only discourages 343i from their production of “too loyal fans.” I am not starting any flame, I’m just suggesting something to you.

It won’t change. The mechanics are in place and they won’t make any drastic changes. It is the best Halo game to date in my opinion and I am happy with everything so far. I have never really liked the past Halo games though, they are were always too slow. The speed in this is wonderful.
As I long time halo fan I hear you loud and clear but so far minus the bothersome beta bugs this has been a great experience. And remember it’s only a beta so more than likely when the actual game ships I’m sure 343i will have some classic game types. Nothing in gaming ever stays the same it’s almost like asking Nintendo to make every new Mario game like the original we wouldn’t have all those great games like galaxy and the ds Mario’s. Change is good bro just give it some time we’re still almost a year away from the final game.
I really like the evolution. Yes, it’s not like previous Halos, but I don’t think we’d (all) be happy if the game mechanics were reverted to the way they were 4-10 years ago.
Those games are done, they exist (in MCC) and are still there to replay.
I think there is a balance that 343i definitely needs to address, and I think they are, very well. That is in keeping Halo the awesome franchise that it is while retaining its loyal fans but also introducing Halo to the next generation of gamer.
343i needs to keep Halo fresh, especially for this next generation of console and keep up with the new pace that online gaming has adopted. In my opinion, the Halo 5 MP Beta is showing that 343i are definitely on the right track.
(I can’t help but be reminded of Back To The Future II, where in the future (ahem, 2015) the kids of the time brand Marty’s favourite arcade game, ‘Wild Gunman’ a baby’s toy - “You mean you have to use your hands?!?” - - - we don’t want Master Chief relegated to living in a museum now, do we?)
There is no turning back. Halo 5 is happening. If you really do not want to support the idea, do not buy the game. Sales indicate public interrest, if very little people buy a game - the company will take note.

I haven’t played Halo 5, but I have several friends who say the game is a slightly better version of Halo 4. If the MCC hadn’t completely shattered my faith in the existence of a just god I would probably have bought it.
This argument is old, we have the Halo MCC to be able to play repolished old style Halo game mechanics.
If Bungie or 343, made the same Halo over and over again, then it would be like COD.
