I hate challenges like this because they are so vague. Can anyone tell me how this challenge works? Exactly how far do you have to be in order to complete the challenge?

That one was an automatic skip for me and I don’t skip often.
I believe you need a Guardian Angel medal - no idea what distance you need to be nor what health your teamate needs to be.

I’ve gotten it on BTB matches. You basically aid a teammate who is on the verge of death with an enemy by killing off the enemy before your teammate dies. Easiest way is probably to stay behind teammates and use weapons like the Battle Rifle to quickly try to widdle enemies health down while they duke it out.
Play more like a support role and not in the front lines.

Well I have done that plenty but it didn’t give it to me, probably because I was too close. I already skipped this challenge once this week, now it came up again. Doing this on Btb sounds like you must have been pretty far away.

I think I got it on Launchpad or Behemoth once. But it really is for playing at distance in BTB.
I don’t know the distance but basically use a Sniper or BR and try to be at least half the length of the map away for Arena or be about a quarter the size of the map away in BTB.
I’ve gotten them on Bazaar from the east corner to the tower.
Your team needs to he near death too though.
May have to be very low on health too. It’s not one I get often in matches.
Jeez sounds like a nightmare to try and get this challenge. A very niche challenge. I hate challenges like this that require insane circumstances in order to achieve them. Guess I’ll have to use another swap.
Just skip it. You basically need to get a sniper rifle in BTB and then sit waiting aiming into a battle to shoot an enemy while they’re shooting a team mate. Highly situational challenges like this are not worth the time.

I get guardian angel medals a decent amount with the BR.

I get them a lot on Catalyst. The low kill barrier makes it so a falling enemy is very far from you. Mind the Gap!
You can also get them on Recharge a lot by sniping across the middle area. Attic to top cat walk.
Still a bad challenge though.
Yeah the problem with challenges like this is you’re stuck taking up some position trying to wait for the perfect circumstances to come about as your team actually gets killed instead of playing and having fun. Definitely a lot of irony in earning guardian angel medal by letting your teammates die while you chase a medal. Probably should call it bait and switch instead.
The best playlist for this challenge I think is fiesta. But just have to hope for landing zone or behemoth maps.
