Microsoft/343 doesn’t care. They’ll never fix it I guess…
I lost hope. I canceled my gamepass which I subscribed to only for this game, I advice you to do it to. and people who bought it specifically, I advice you to demand refund.
I raised a ticket last week regarding this and received a reply asking if I completed the first mission or not. I replied that I had and now have had silence from support for over 5 days!
This does not fill me confidence if I am honest.
I encountered this a few weeks ago and have filed two tickets at this point but have not gotten any acknowledgement that this issue is being looked into. I’m over half way through the campaign and its not worth my time to have to start over.
That’s a standard answer - it gets shut of you for another day or more and maybe they hope you’ll just carry on starting over that fresh playthrough after playing through the first mission once again. I’ve not seen anyone actually say this suggestion made improved the situation whatsoever.
Since raising my ticket nearly 2 weeks ago I have only had the one response from support, on the day after creating it. This was the generic “Have you completed the first mission” response which I replied to the same day. However since then I have been completely ghosted by support and even after asking for an update a week later still nothing. Not even a courteous message to say they are still investigating it for me. It’s not really the best way to win over fans (customers) if you are going to completely blank them.
How on earth has there been no acknowledgement of this from Devs? Just happened to me this morning. Total BS

I don’t pay twice just for steam-version.
I just canceled my game pass, and thats what i am going to do, find it in torrents (when it will be old enough and no one will cate) and finish it that way while im disconnected. I joined game pass for this very reason for halo infinite and here I am 15 hours in the game and can’t finish it because of a stupid bug that they don’t want or care to fix. yet the grabbed the money no problem… this never ever happened under bungie. and finally, while I enjoyed the game soooo much… its such a good game, shame that’s 343/ms doesn’t have QC.
The same bug just happened to me as well on PC. I was prompted to login again, clicked ‘Let’s Go’ in the modal, and the game went wonky - map in select menu wouldn’t load, couldn’t pick up ammo in game. I tried to restart the app and load back in, camera went crazy in hover view and now I can’t load in at all. I was about 40% through and was enjoying the campaign but I’m not starting over and risking the save becoming corrupted again. What a bummer.

i thought cloud saves had backups this is terrible i submitted a ticket a while back and im still waiting on a resolution i have about 20 hours or more of gameplay in and this happened. im so glad i never bought the game but now im debating if i should keep my gamer pass or not. i havent played any games due to this.
Been wating a month for a bugfix, and it not even listed as a known issue yet 
…so I ended up making a refund request 
this is still happening… lost approx 18 or so hours randomly as well. No pop ups or such
well due to no update on this issue I cancelled my game pass and moved over to playing MP on Steam. BTB has also been broken and unplayable for a significant amount of players for over a month now so considering they still haven’t fixed that with any urgency, this campaign save bug issues is probably far down on their list and not getting addressed anytime soon.
Has new update fixed this? Have not been able to play recently.
Nope. And who knows if it ever will.
I played through a number of checkpoints, kinda got bored and put it down. I picked it back up only to have the game count down from 3 and then nothing. I wrote up a ticket, but haven’t heard anything from support.
In reading though the posts here, seems like I probably won’t pick it up again!
well the good news is the new update did at least finally fix BTB after 6-8 weeks of it not working so there might be hope for this issue to be fixed sometime in the next few months lol
Support lumbered in to ask if I’d finished the first mission, so they’re not reading any of this. This was the third GamePass game in a row that’s been ruined by some cloud nonsense. I’m done with it.
