That makes pretty good sense. At this point though I really will be grateful for them adding playable Elites in at all, but since it’s very UNSC themed the chances of them being added in are a little bit slimmer.

I’m really agree with you, dude, Elites aren’t even a bad one. I mean, just look at Invasion on Halo Reach, that was really awesome playing like elites, the context of the fight (Squad Elites vs Spartans).

Yeah. As someone in this forum said in the past (I’m not sure who), playable Elites are something that weren’t very balanced, but instead of trying to make them balanced, 343 took them out completely. If they really tried, they could make them fair.

It was a cool feature, it would be even cooler in Halo Infinite, but without playable Elites it’s not really Invasion.

Something that 343 Could have done was make spartans IV bigger instead of making stronger elites, if both have the same size, health, shield strength and proportional hitboxes (like the master chief and infinite elites or halo 2 elites and spartans II) then it is balanced. But for some reason 343 made regular human size spartans like the IIIs and totally removed elites. Halo 4 was rushed so i understand they were not added there, but halo 5 wasn´t and halo infinite is supposed to last 10 years. So, if after all that time they are still not there, then 343 is just not listening at all.

They are listening to fan feedback, they’re just being stubborn about playable Elites. There’s no particular reason either.

I think they should bring the Sangheili head more upright so you can headshot them the same as Spartans, then just make them slim so their build is roughly the same as Spartan’s, then the problem is basically gone. The Halo Infinite Elites already fit this description almost perfectly, so there shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

I know, but while we constantly mentyion invasion and customs, Elites were also playable in a game called Elite Slayer but tose were rare.

Elite Slayer was really fun, but extremely rare. I remember always voting for Elite Slayer in the Reach mp lobbies, and I’d get two or three people to vote it also, but we’d always be one upped by people who wanted to play Team DMR’s or regular Slayer. On MCC it seems like Elite Slayer matches are a little more common, I might get an Elite Slayer match every week or so if I play a LOT, but who has the time for that?

I had so much fun on elite slayer… so much fun….
on the of reach, i played with the needler and active camo and i got so many kills…. It was awesome

I remember sticking close to doorways while crouching. As soon as someone came through a door I’d stick them with a Plasma Grenade and evade through the door and no one was the wiser. People got really mad, lol.

I am never more in my element than when playing Elite slayer. I suddenly become the best player in the game because I actually care and have a passion for playing as an Elite, and I’ve done it so much that I consider myself a master at playing as one, whereas everyone else in there is clearly used to playing as a boring old Spartan. When I play Elite slayer, I feel like I can say “You’re in my kingdom now.” And it’s beautiful. I only wish it was more common.

Or you know, they just let Elites and Spartans play in the same gamemodes on Reach as Urs intended.
