Sangheili has given a lot to Halo, I don’t like knowing that we won’t have him

Plus they are against the clock to finish the base game, so i woud expect them to be added at least a year after launch for the reasons you have stated.

They did the same with assassinations, a feature we expected to see considering how many assassination animations Halo 5 had. They could be cutting corners to provide not the most feature-rich game with every nifty detail we expect and/or want, but just enough to satisfy us and without compromising the development of their game.

I’m sure they already said assassinations are in the final version of the game, but I’m not sure that equates to getting Elites.

Naw sketch addressed that assassinations won’t be in at launch, but will probably be added in later on since infinite will be a live service game. This opens the door to us that elites could be added in at some point too

Oh, well in that case it’s possible, but at the same time it’s not like it’s as hard to put them in as Elites. Though I refuse to believe putting playable Elites is that difficult because, as I’ve said many times, other games like Mass Effect 3 have been able to make almost their whole hosts of wacky species playable.

They will still be around in some form as they aren’t leaving the whole series., plus I am also holding out hope that in the long run they will be playable again in the long run.

It’s a real shame.
I was thinking about possible Sangheili spin offs today, even if infinite doesn’t get an update down the road like we hope maybe that will still be an option one day?

Halo - Chronicles of the Arbiter
Play through chapters where mini-stories tell the lives of every Arbiter from first-to-last.

Haha, there’s a lot of arbiters that might take awhile. Still I love the concept, maybe a cliff notes version that only has you visit the most important arbiters.

EXACTLY ! And the Terminals will tell the stories of the other Arbiters. It would also have to come with the Halo Legends animation of The Duel, and feature a multiplayer where it is Elite based rather than Spartan based.

Like in Halo 3 ODST.

ODST anthological approach to the campaign was pretty well received so it could be good to give it another go. Its uniquness was part of the vibe though so it should probably be used sparingly as well.

It was what made ODST special, if they did do campaign missions that way they’d have to be careful about it. They’d need to make it slightly different, as not to completely copy ODST’s missions.
On the topic of DLC, I have high hopes for a Flood horror campaign. With modern day graphics, they can make the Flood look even more terrifying than before. A Flood Juggernaut would make for a great boss fight.
It would be spectacular if in Halo Infinite they made a playable DLC with the Shangeili, or a possible Spin off where you play with the Shangeili.

Yes Flood Horror is still my biggest hope for a new Halo next gen experience. They were terrifying in the legacy series I can only imagine what they would be like now.

I’m honestly surprised that it hasn’t happened already. I guess Awakening the Nightmare acted as a replacement for it.

Yeah, I think most people would be ok with Sangheili being relegated to custom games, an Invasion type mode, and a PvE type mode, as long as we would be able to play as a Sangheili.

To be honest, yeah. I’d be fine with them going the Reach way with Sangheili, better that than nothing. Although, it would be ironic. 343 are trying to give people player expression, and if you can’t even play as an Elite in regular matchmaking, how is that player expression?
343 continues to contradict themselves. I’m not saying that as an insult, just an observation.

As long as they’re added post launch…
