Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> 2533274810177460;19039:
> I find it kind of hilarious that 343 wants to strongly imply that your player character when you load up into Halo multiplayer is as important a character to the franchise as Master Chief. While simultaneously telling Elite players that their player character is not going to be in the game.
>
> An Elite IS my player character. 343 literally hasn’t put my player character into a single one of their games barring H2A, and that was just because it was a remake. Despite the fact that they actually provide lore about how Swords of Sanghelios Elites are still actively cooperating, sharing technology, and codeveloping armor and weapons with the UNSC, as well as actively training with Spartans in war game simulations.
>
> Like there’s zero lore excuse. They laid the groundwork themselves for why Elites would train at a Spartan camp, and why an Elite could have partaken in Halo 4, 5, and Infinite’s canon multiplayer scenarios. The only reason they aren’t doing it is to keep sweaty player from whining about hitboxes. Because those players’ voices are apparently more important than our player identities.

Exactly, I’m so dedicated to Elites I write backstories about them. I even have one of my Elite characters in my BIO, an Elite is who I want to be in the Halo universe.

Why can’t 343 just accept the fact that not everyone likes Spartans? I liked Spartans until 343 came around and made them look like this. They were supposed to be so rare that a Marine could go his entire life without even seeing one, now they have over three hundred armor sets that they apparently actually use. Their not special anymore, I liked it better when Master Chief was one of the last ones alive. I was ok with Spartan 3s because they didn’t have very much plot armor and could actually die, unlike Spartan 2s that seemingly survive everything.

They sucked the life out of Spartans for me and now I like Elites even more. I will say though, the Halo Infinite Spartans do look very fine, very fine indeed.

I’ve said it so many times I’m just getting tired, if the hitboxes are all wrong fix them, I’ve given dozens of suggestions of how. If they don’t fix the hitboxes make them Social exclusive so Ranked players will stop complaining. Sure, they don’t have time to do everything, but that’s where updates and seasons come in. They give you time to improve upon your game and add more content.

The thing is, they could easily just use the multiplayer balanced models and hitboxes as the Elites in the campaign. So the only extra work required are attention to detail required to get the models scaled properly, the addition of first person models for hands, and animations for weapons and vehicles Elites normally wouldn’t already interact with in the campaign. Not nearly as much extra work, as going back and making whole new Elite models for a dlc release layer on will take. (It’s not happening, they just said “never say never” because it’s bad PR to flat out tell a community they aren’t getting what they want)

They bothered to add crossplay despite controller versus mouse + keyboard differences, the whole thing could be seen from a thousand miles away but playable Elites are still restricted and as far as we know not part of the future in multiplayer.

They could save resources doing that. Then it would be easier to mod playable Elites in campaign. I just don’t get what 343s beef is with playable Elites…

At this point probably pure laziness/ unwillingness.

the elite is my favorite species in the halo world, 343 don’t forget about us

They’re too scared to model em because elites have 4 balls and 7 d*cks.

Fr tho I feel if a helioskrill type armor isn’t making a return then their could be hope since 343 made that armor to try and appease us( even tho it didn’t work).

I still don’t think the Helioskrill looks anything like an Elite.

Helioskrill, Elite. I don’t have anything against the armor, but it doesn’t resemble an Elite in any way at all in my opinion.

I have a strong dislike towards esport my reasoning to much influence to the multiplayer creative directors it holds them back. To much thinking of the “pros” not enough creative fun

Helioskrill’s not supposed to look like a standard elite, it’s arbiter armor adapte to the shape of a human being, it’s not supposed to make you look like an elite, it’s supposed to make you look like a knight/samourai using details of Thel’s original arby set.

I hope 343 pulls armours such as Helioskrill, warrior, recruit, air assault - Do to them what they’ve done to Soldier & Aviator.

I think that Helioskrill has an uncanny resemblance to a cockatoo bird.

Helioskrill, Cockatoo. I always think of a cockatoo every time I see that armor…

Cockatoos are cool birds, and on the picture you took we can actually see the little back fins of the armor have the legendary difficulty logo that the arbiter has on his right pauldron in Halo 2, always made me a little bit sad that detail was removed in Halo 3.

Cockatoos are cool birds. I loved the legendary difficulty logo, I was also sad that it was gone in Halo 3.

Yes, but as far as i know those armors were already made for halo online, they were just ported to MCC.

I hope they add playable elites at some point, but while the Esports community is their priority 1 we will only get something like the helioskrill armor if we are lucky.
Halo Infinite is meant to last at least 10 years, 343 may surprise us one day during that time, but i would not expect them to do the assets for the elites during the first year.

please 343
