343 hasn’t explicitly stated that playable Elites won’t be possible for Halo Infinite’s existence.

Interesting idea, but honestly they could have had elites in Infinity so I am not putting to much stock into the change of scenery being an indication of them being added. I’ll hold out hope but I am not very confident we will see it happen down the line.

As far as i know, halo infinite´s season 1 will be called “Heroes of Reach”, despite i would not expect to see any playable elite for a while, they never said they will not be added.

Yeh figured it be a post launch one too since it’s bizarre that we are now supposed to be allies with them and yet oddly no training with them. Surprised this thread hasn’t been moved to the Halo Infinite forums yet…just like when it got moved from 4 to 5 forums.

They keep saying that it’s because it’s too large and ridk losing it, which makes me wonder, why not have a back up? duplicate it, the original stays here, the duplicate is hidden and moved, and once it has been succesfully duplicated without being damaged, we all get subbed to the duplicate and this one goes hidden, or something of the likes. How many gigabytes would a file like this be? It’s just text so I don’t expect it to be in the double digits, but there is a lot of text, so it could be more than 1gig.

I don’t think that’d be a great idea. Making new versions of something original and long-running rarely ever works out. No matter what there will be tons of people who simply just don’t continue contributing, and it would make going through the backlog of ideas and replies too laborious for people to do it, despite not being much to do at all. Think of it like a YouTuber’s first account that gets deleted and then they try to get people to go to their new one. No matter what, they won’t get that same group of people nearly fast enough and will likely have to rebrand entirely to reestablish themselves. For obvious reasons, we can’t rebrand this thread because that would defeat the point of it.
I think they should either figure out a way to transfer this whole thread as it is to Infinite through upgrading servers or whatever or somehow have a dedicated link to this thread in the Infinite forum and assert that is it part of that forum even if it is technically located in the Halo 5 one. Of course I don’t know anything about how computers and websites work so if that can’t be done I understand but still. Worth a shot.

Yeh makes sense. Makes me wonder why they didn’t just create a mega thread forum then link people to the threads to avoid having to keep moving them.
I’m getting more the vibe that they’re trying to perfect gameplay first to make halo modern but still halo, and then they’ll add them once they get a feel for what to add to the game. I hope this is the case and they actually do care about ALL their fans and not just the ones that will make esports or whatever. If not, then it’ll just be another modern game with meaningless filler content I feel.

Referring to the entire community as “Spartans” in the MCC Season 7 video earlier has me concerned they don’t really care despite adding the elite armour. Just felt weird for them to say that and like it was specifically put in when it didn’t need to be.
