Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> > > Just because the UNSC infinity has a simulating program it doesn’t mean that i can spawn opponents. Most likely it has not reached that type of technology or it is STRICTLY used for Spartan IV training and testing out their strengths and weaknesses. Throwing elites into the fray would mess up a once experimental testing simulator.

There is really no reason for them to be playable in Halo 4 and all of you who are complaining and just making noise imo, you know you still want to buy the game  It won’t kill you to play as a Spartan

> How physical are those holograms and A.I. -_- Clearly they are intangible and you cannot have a good simulation with them unlike the physical surroundings of maps simulated in the Infinity. Reach was destroyed and most of the armor abilities were prototypes. The game doesn’t obvious revolve around Sangheli if they aren’t the main threat or focus by the way.

your saying that a ship built with forerunner tech isn’t able to create better holograms then the one made on reach?

> > > Why is fighting only spartans such a big deal? Has no one ever played Halo Custom Edition?

Are you sure you didn’t mean Halo Lag Edition? That’s just what I think when I play it.
It’s a great game, but Halo CE wasn’t built for multiplayer, it was made for Campaign.

> > Elites suck. Great move 343. Now those filthy dinos can finally die out of my multiplayer.
>
> I find yout comment absolutely childish and disrespectful, not just because I like elites, but because elites were an important part of Halo, Halo without elites isn’t Halo. How would you feel if they removed Spartans? Think about it.

It wouldn’t be Halo at all. It would have a different story because the story is mainly about the Spartans as a whole.

They are obviously physical, in some way, since you can shoot and hit them.
The Hologram AA has already been confirmed for Halo 4 and if the Infinity can simulate entire environments then I’m sure it can replicate Sangheili, so that voids your statement.

If they aren’t part of the focus then why are they in the game?
Lets not forget that 343i said we may be playing as them in campaign. (like in Halo 3)

> It wouldn’t be Halo at all. It would have a different story because the story is mainly about the Spartans as a whole.

Because all of the Halo campaigns/books/comics, including ODST, tell the story of the Sangheili in some way…
Halo has always focused on the Sangheili in some way and have always been in the games.

I think the story of why reds fight blues is just unnecessary and kind of stupid.

No other games ever needed stories for their multiplayer, so Halo doesn’t either.

I mean, why would custom games exist? Why the -Yoink!- would spartans be turning into forerunner robots, spawning random -Yoink!- and throwing it at each other?

There are a lot of things the story cannot explain or make sense, and removing stuff to make the story make sense is a bad idea.

They have already removed elites because of this story nobody wanted.

What’s next?

Action sack?
Griffball?
Weapons spawning? (This has already been -Yoinked- due to the RvB story)

I say ditch the RvB story before it causes anymore problems. No one wanted it, it didn’t fix anything, and it’s causing problems.

I don’t like to play as elites ever. Hate most of the weapons they have. I perferd Spartans for invasion and I get stuck as an Elite. They will be in halo 4 story but not campaign. Made my day.

Several games have, including the popular ME3.

> They have already removed elites because of this story nobody wanted.

I actually welcome the story, but removing core aspects of Halo isn’t a smart move.

> I say ditch the RvB story before it causes anymore problems. No one wanted it, it didn’t fix anything, and it’s causing problems.

I do however agree with this. Let Rooter Teeth, if that’s the reason, tell their own story.

> I’m glad there are no more Elites. I don’t play Halo to be an alien, and neither should you.

We all have our intrests. besides Im human in real life. its boring to play the same thing over and over. its not new or special to play as only humans it may never be.

Even though the sangheili do have their differences, if we do nothing, all will be lost. This is no longer about legions, fleets, armadas, or empires. This is not about battles won, or raids lost. This is not about the alliances we’ve erected, or the enemies we have crushed. The light of the sangheili community is slowly dimming out. This is our last chance to breathe life into not only ourselves, but into all of those who bear the proud name sangheili.

Thank you, Xzan 'Jar Tamasee, for creating this thread. Glad to see it had gained so much support.
I shall see you soon, brother.

i JUST HOPE they actually listen to us. Elites are a staple of halo.

I won’t ramble on since alot of the points i came to make about their canonical possibilities in infinity have been stated.
thanks for this thread

A little to… realistic, one way to put it lol, but understandable. (Especially if this is your OC)
Who’s Xzan, Telcam’s OC?

(You might want to fix that double post. ;D )

I’ve been thinking… Infinity Multiplayer=Infinity Ward? Is it just a coincidence?

> I’m glad there are no more Elites. I don’t play Halo to be an alien, and neither should you.

I dont play halo to play as a human, which we play as in every single first person shooter. I dont play halo to feel like a super human. if i wanted to do that i would play metroid. No i play halo for the diverse charachtersa dn customizations it offers.

I dont play it to be a human, and neither should you. I play it to have fun doing what I as a person enjoy. Who are you to tell me what i should and shouldnt enjoy?

> I’ve been thinking… Infinity Multiplayer=Infinity Ward? Is it just a coincidence?

Most likely a coincidence. :stuck_out_tongue:
But 343i probably felt the same way you do now, lol.

Forerunners be praised! I want my Zealot armor in the H4 game!

> I’m glad there are no more Elites. I don’t play Halo to be an alien, and neither should you.

Funny, you were never forced to be an Elite in Halo 2 or 3, or even Reach if you avoided Invasion. Did someone have a gun to your head when you played those games, telling you that you have to play as an Elite or they’d kill you? If so, you should probably have called the police when they weren’t around. That sounds like a serious problem.

Also, I’m pretty sure you haven’t bought my Xbox, any of my copies of Halo, you’re not paying for my internet or my power, and I’m very sure you don’t have any way to kill, maim, or otherwise inflict punishment on me for using a different player model, so I don’t see what right you have to dictate to another player what they should look like playing the game they bought. It’s like telling a guy that because you hate Nickelback, he should too (while he’s humming something from said band). You’re not going to change his mind about it, and he’ll start singing it out loud just to annoy you if he’s a -Yoink-.

Probably just fed a troll, but w/e.

So, possible special ops stuff for Elites. Step in the right direction, but…

Im so happy for you guys in the elite community!!! I never expected them to even go as far to consider an elite ops!

The Arbiter is returning in Spartan OPs.

The Arbiter is therefore alive and has a story role to play as something other then Master Chief’s ignored sidekick. Maybe a slight disappointment that he doesn’t get his own campaign but things are looking up!
