I would gladly accept a monetized armor system in Halo Infinite, if 343 actually added in armors worth the real money I would pay for them, as well as whatever species I prefer. They don’t even give the Elites a chance and that is the issue. I sometimes think the drastic change 343 made to the Elites in 4 and 5 as them secretly hoping if they made the Elites ‘‘ugly’’ we would no longer want them. I hate this, with Bungie I never had to worry about playable Elites not being in a Halo game past Halo 2, as they actually cared about the community and even went out of their way to make a compromise with Reach ( it may not be my most favorite version of them, but I would accept it, if that was a way 343 brought them back) why can’t 343 do the same? Why do they constantly fail to even live up to what Bungie did a decade ago?

I totally agree with u. Just wondering when we’ll finally get that announcement for season 7 since it’s been more than 2 months and I’m more than hyped for everything that’s coming in that season, not just the elite armors. Also do y’all think btb 2.0 is gonna be Infinite’s 3rd mode, at least at launch? Because they should really bring back invasion or firefight at this point. Since halo 3, I’ve always wanted a firefight mode where u play as spartans and allied elites against whatever enemies u face off in the story, now the banished. Maybe even forerunner or flood if they end up making it in hopefully…

With how much focus there has been on Spartan customisation and especially personalisation, I feel that it could be a really long while before playable Elites are added. And if 343 feel that they have to reach the same level for Elites as they did for Spartans, they may be put off even more. Now, personally I would be happy to have just 5 armour sets to start with for Elites if it meant having them in earlier or even at launch. Then more armour and other customisation could be added over time as is sure to happen with Spartans.
I think for now we should be really happy with the new armour in MCC. Uh, that is, once the season releases and we can actually get a hold of it! Haha!

I’m gonna be honest. With things like Personal AIs, the major focus on Spartan Customization, etc I don’t think they’ll be added to Infinite, at least not for a very long time

I would say there is a slimmer of hope, but seeing all they did with spartans, I fear we’d see elites only have a third of what you can do with spartans, but at least they’d be back and I would still play as one. But with elites as customizable as spartans, good looking and fairly ballenced? I’d be an incredibly happy man.
Well, after all this years, i don’t think they will return at all. Which is sad considering how it made the multiplayer feel more unique, just by having a few elites on the map trying to kill you.
One of the reasons i’m sure of that is because bringing them back would mean that 343 will have to work on new animations for equipments, vehicles, customization, and a training area for them (just like the Avery Jhonson academy we’ve seen in the trailers).
Another reason is it’s just easier to make a few coatings for the spartans or armor sets than an alternative player model.
Don’t get me wrong i really want them back, and the season 7 of MCC gives me hope, but just a little. But it’s likely the closest thing we get to a playable elite will be an armor similar to helioskrill.

Same. But we can’t give up the fight yet! Not at least until they confirm that elites will never be coming back.

I’m pretty sure they’ll never show up. They seem to enjoy creating some gimmick to excuse them not including them.
This thread has so many pages and has been going on since the halo 4 days, and they’ve just ignored it. We probably only would have found out on launch day if it weren’t for the delay. Heck they should really move this thread to the Halo Infinite forum like they did from the h4-h5 one back in the day, but I’m guessing they’re leaving it in the H5 to hope to bury it. This stopped being a h5 discussion and became a halo infinite one years ago.

Yes and no. If playable Elites looked like this, there wouldn’t be too much of an issue. They would be the same size as Spartans, and their heads would be more upright so you can headshot them from behind just the same as Spartans.
As for the legs, just make them more stretched out like this Elite’s legs.There are tons of ways to make them playable and fair. 343 just aren’t listening.

I actually think it’s a little up in the air. 343’s been starting to give us a little attention after all this time, so if we keep showing that we want it bad, they may be able to oblige in the future.
I still hold a measure of hope, and likely ways will. Season 7 does help throw some kindling on the glowing embers of that hope, and I will enjoy the new armor. However, I figure the idea of playable Sangheili in Infinite won’t be for several years.
Okay so recent cannon fodder has revealed that infinite multiplayer takes place on a frontier world and not the infinity. This could mean that later down the line the sos could show up and elites will be added into multiplayer. Just a thought to give us hope.

I mean, that doesn’t really imply anything like that considering there were at least 24 SoS aboard the Infinity.
I like how the trailer really highlights that these Elites are allies to the spartans, very humbling.
