Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> Elites suck. Great move 343. Now those filthy dinos can finally die out of my multiplayer.

I find yout comment absolutely childish and disrespectful, not just because I like elites, but because elites were an important part of Halo, Halo without elites isn’t Halo. How would you feel if they removed Spartans? Think about it.

> Elites suck. Great move 343. Now those filthy dinos can finally die out of my multiplayer.

Hey hey hey, thats your opinion. I am certain that if a trilogy for halo revolving around the arbiters was made, that you along with every spartan fan would be fighting tooth and nail to get the spartan in matchmaking. So why not us?

> Elites suck. Great move 343. Now those filthy dinos can finally die out of my multiplayer.

no offense but there is no diversity in spartans only multiplayer. sure theres alot of armor, but if your playing the same species everytime. its nothing new or special.

Why is fighting only spartans such a big deal? Has no one ever played Halo Custom Edition?

> Why is fighting only spartans such a big deal? Has no one ever played Halo Custom Edition?

Never herd of it.

Halo CE with multiplayer on a CD disk. It was hella fun to play and I’d love to play it still if I didn’t lose the disk.

that is unofurtinate

Halo does not need Elites, it’s never been about Elites. Even with some of the Elites now allied with humanity you still have some that want to believe in the Great Journey. I knew they were dino-like, but I didn’t know they had the pea sized brain too. (Joke, calm your squid-lip loving pants).

Elites will still be in campaign, as they should be, the story of the Arbiter in H2 was merely to tell another part of the story. The Elites as a whole are not Halo. Not to mention they make for a better enemy than anything. Arbiter in Halo 3 did nothing, I mean literally nothing.

I just don’t know what to say to all you Elite lovers. I wonder if there was ever a full out invasion of Earth if you people would be the first to go and kneel before the attacking forces. SMDH.

If they are bringing back the ‘quintessential halo experience’ then it is imperative that elites are implemented into gameplay, and yes, most definitively 343 could massage reasons as to why Spartans can fight elites in training simulations. I just hope 343 listens to its community like bio-ware are, trying to fix those crappy endings in mass effect 3.

The arbiter missions in halo 2 werent there specifically to show us what abry was doing at that time? Halo has never been about the elites? Arbiters entire back story being laid out in halo 2 ring a bell? That was about the elites and hwo they split from the covenant. Not to mention the books have parts that focus specifaclly on elites.

> Elites will still be in campaign, as they should be, the story of the Arbiter in H2 was merely to tell another part of the story. The Elites as a whole are not Halo. Not to mention they make for a better enemy than anything. Arbiter in Halo 3 did nothing, I mean literally nothing.

Yes exactly. The arbiter in halo 2 was to tell anothr part of the story. The sotry about how the elites split off from the covenant. If thats not about the elites, then i dont know what is. Arbiter was amajor part in halo 2. This makes half of halo2 about the elites.

They arent halo? Ok, lets just take them out of all the halo games then shall we? Think about how boring all the halo games would have been without the elites there. There would have been no point to ce. Halo 2 and three wouldnt exist. Yeah, they make for a better enemy exactly. If they are a good enemy why not put them in multiplayer. They take nothign away from the game.

> I just don’t know what to say to all you Elite lovers. I wonder if there was ever a full out invasion of Earth if you people would be the first to go and kneel before the attacking forces. SMDH.

Not all of us are “Elite lovers” you stereotyping -Yoink-. As you can clearly see, i am a spartan fan. I still like the elites and would like to see them return. Is that wrong? If there was an invasion of earth i would be sitting there with a sniper rifle blowing out as many brains (if not more) than the next guy. This is a game buddy, not realy life. So what we want to see the elites in multiplayer? They take away nothing and add another thing to look at into the game.

Is that wrong?

Silent

> I just don’t know what to say to all you Elite lovers. I wonder if there was ever a full out invasion of Earth if you people would be the first to go and kneel before the attacking forces. SMDH.

and WE take the game too seriously?

Its like you saying that everyone who doesn’t play terran in starcraft secretly worships alien, don’t try comparing us to nut-jobs.

Its called a game option, we like it and would be annoyed to have it removed.

> This thread exists becasue there are alot of unpleased elite fans out there and we are smart enough to work toghether to achieve something.

> The elites arent in due to canonical reasons. Those reasons being that they shouldnt be on the infinity. If the elites dont maek sense canonically, why would the forruners?
>
> Wow really? Do you really have to come here and tell us to get over it? Okay, well here you go. The multiplayer will have perks, get over it. The multiplayer will have armor abilities, get over it. The multiplayer will have instant spawns, get over it. The multiplayer will have sprint and jetpack, get over it.
>
> See how easy it is to do? Look, if we want to get anywhere. we as a community must work toghether to achive this. Bickering amongst ourselves gets us no where.

Canon reasons it’s possible for Sangheili to be on the UNSC Infinity:
-5 years have past since the events of Halo 3.
-They’ve traded representatives.
-The Sangheili and Humans have an alliance, though it isn’t entirely stable.
-The S-IV’s training arena is a simulation.

Just saying.

> Please, no. There’s a reason the community at large don’t work as game developers.
>
> This is their job, believe it or not, they know what makes a game balanced better than we do.

I know it’s their job, and I completely respect that.
But seeing as they are more experienced in these matters…
…shouldn’t they realize that the game is unbalanced, if we do?
Or if the “veteran” players, like myself, aren’t happy that they are changing the core gameplay.

Also, Shadow and CIR…
Getting this thread locked, after it being open/active for over a month, because you two can’t get along. :stuck_out_tongue:
I respect both of your opinions but please try to keep the sarcasm/flamming to a minimum, please?
Also Shadow you do modeling? Do you also do animation?

Are you joking? Please tell me you are… <.<
The entire original trilogy was about John and Thel’s stories. Not to forget all the side stories. (books/comics)
(To be honest I find that joke pretty funny, lol.)

If the Sangheili are in Campaign, and possibly playable, why remove them from MM?

> I just don’t know what to say to all you Elite lovers. I wonder if there was ever a full out invasion of Earth if you people would be the first to go and kneel before the attacking forces. SMDH.

What, I don’t even… and SMDH???

I’m glad there are no more Elites. I don’t play Halo to be an alien, and neither should you.

Haters will always hate on the Elites, but we shall always avoid those troubling times and continue to live on to play as Elites when Halo 4 comes out.

I hope that they’re in Customs and Forge.

Please, 343, don’t make the mistake of them being completely unplayable.

> I’m glad there are no more Elites. I don’t play Halo to be an alien, and neither should you.

You shouldn’t also play a game to tell others what to do, its called a game.

Just because the UNSC infinity has a simulating program it doesn’t mean that i can spawn opponents. Most likely it has not reached that type of technology or it is STRICTLY used for Spartan IV training and testing out their strengths and weaknesses. Throwing elites into the fray would mess up a once experimental testing simulator.

Elites can’t be in the game until the story revolves around them again like in Halo 2 and Halo 3. There is really no reason for them to be playable in Halo 4 and all of you who are complaining and just making noise imo, you know you still want to buy the game  It won’t kill you to play as a Spartan

Plus you might enjoy the new armor customizations that are made for the spartans.

I don’t play the game to do that. I’m doing it outside of the game, on the forums.

So I’m guessing the holograms used in Reach and A.I. avatars mean nothing?
It wouldn’t mess anything up, seeing as ONI is trying to… complicate things for the Sangheili.
The game obviously revolves, somewhat, around Sangheili if they are in the campaign.

Playing as a Spartan won’t kill me, I even enjoy it, but I also like some variety in a game.
I’d also like to enjoy new armor customizations for Sangheili.

How physical are those holograms and A.I. -_- Clearly they are intangible and you cannot have a good simulation with them unlike the physical surroundings of maps simulated in the Infinity. Reach was destroyed and most of the armor abilities were prototypes. The game doesn’t obvious revolve around Sangheli if they aren’t the main threat or focus by the way.
