They have no justification and no excuse for this hatred of Elites, I’ve given up on 343. I can’t believe I actually thought for years they would bring playable Elites back and give them good customization.

I want the fire to stay under their -Yoinks!- for as long as it can, because if their is ever hope of getting them back, it will be from the persistence. We got Halo 3 on pc and the classic artstyle back, I am certain we can eventually break 343 on this aswell.

> The Halo Online Elite armours that never got added to Halo Online, but were nonetheless developed for it, have been found by modders in MCC’s files, and I can’t see any reason for them to be there if they have no intention of eventually bringing them to the game, though I personally am sick to death of Halo 3, one of my least favourite multiplayers, getting content. I’d much rather see Reach Elites get piece by piece customisation which I still haven’t forgotten about them talking about, as well as some of those other Spartan armours that have been uncovered for it. And of course, customs browser so we can actually play as Elites the way they’re supposed to be played on Reach
>
> Oh, better yet, either edit how Reach works on MCC or add game modes to matchmaking where you can play as Elites alongside Spartans properly instead of restricting it to that one Team Assault Rifle Territories/King of the Hill mode that I described here a while ago, since it’s nigh impossible to get one of those games because everyone, myself included, wants to play Heavies more.

> In my view, editing how Reach works so that you play as whatever you want in everything aside from Invasion where you have to be restricted for obvious reasons is the way to go. I don’t care if it ‘ruins the an authentic experience of how the game was when it released’- this is the current, present day. It’s time to move on from that nonsense and break the chains of the past.

> Furthermore, Firefight Versus would be nice so I can actually play as an Elite in Firefight against Spartans, and even better so- the ability to play as an Elite on the red (UNSC) team so you can hop into firefight and stand-off against the Covenant onslaught as a deserter and heretic or whatever you wanna call yourself. Plus the ability to arm Jackals and Skirmishers and all other Covenant members with human guns so you can see Brutes with rocket launchers, Skirmishers with snipers, Grunts with magnums, etc.

> Its about time we got changes like this. Personally, I don’t care for new Elite armours in 3, I’d appreciate them and you’d be damn sure I’d get them and rock them, but as far as I’m concerned, that’s not particularly of any concern to me when there’s so many other things that can be done to improve the general playability of Elites.
Ok, well my faith has risen that we may be getting new armor for elites. I’m actually quite glad that we’re getting more stuff for Halo 3, its by far my favorite multiplayer, Reach is a close second. I agree that we should be able to mix and match armor for Elites in Reach, there would be so many cool possibilities of armor customization.
As for your suggestion about elites being playable in Reach multiplayer, that would be very difficult to do. The hitboxes, strength, speed, jump height, character height, are all different between Spartans and Elites in Reach’s gameplay. So unless people are fine with Elites and Spartans being different, I would say go for it. If not, I would highly advise against doing that for obvious reasons of Reach’s multiplayer not being played as much, it would be a real shame to lose the amount of players in Reach, because its a really good game.
As far as new customization for Elites goes, they should give the Halo 2 Anniversary Elites all the Halo 4 Elite armor, as they are the same design. I would love to have the Warrior armor in Halo 2 Anniversary.
Adding anything is becoming increasingly hard on 343 because of people’s ongoing complaints (which includes me). 343 have already made so many people mad with the new changes to Halo 3, its like i said, very hard for them to keep going with MCC.
I guess we’re just going to have to swallow our pride, and stop complaining. I would never give more content to a group that complains about everything, its the same with 343, if we complain then their just not going to add Elite cosmetics simply to spite us. I know its hard after all that 343 have messed up on, but I think we’re going to have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
