Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> They say never say never and while theres hope they will be in after launch I want to see it happen or some sign that it will happen.

The problem with that statement is that it feels more like a damage control sort of thing, basically saying “Well its possible we “MAY” one day, hopefully, in the distant future, ponder the idea of possibly including them”. So that you will still feel inclined to go and buy their game. All game companies ever care about is the first wave of income they get from a game, it does not matter to them, if the game does not continue to receive that same level of income, later on, they only care about those launch numbers, once they have met that, then, no amount of “Protest” or “Not buying their game” will change their mind, and if Halo Infinite is it, and will be all we get in terms of Halo, then that also means they have nothing to worry about post-Halo Infinite as they would have no one to try to please anymore. So until I see some response stating they are working on including them or hints at an Arbiter-style DLC campaign, then I am not holding my breath anymore. I am simply done waiting for them to include them. I don’t know if I will be a long-term adopter of Infinite now. If there is nothing gameplay-wise to entice me, come launch, then I may not even be an early adopter, but whether I remain playing Infinite in the future will solely depend on how 343 decides to update the game, and whether or not they do eventually give us Elites. Because I will say this, if they ever do give us those new Elite Armors from Halo Online into Halo 3, then I may stick to the MCC for the long haul. This is just sad to be honest, I may have forgiven this if there was an actual technical issue, but the fact that it was a dumb excuse such as "Oh we wanted to tell a “Spartan” story, what the living hell was Halos Reach-5 (excluding Halo 3 ODST) then? That response is the main reason I am so upset with their answer.

Never say never is an easy way for them to say “no” without actually saying no. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if the 10-year plan (of which we have no information on) doesn’t include Elites.

Or anything, for that matter.

They might run out of ideas to add to Halo Infinite, so they MIGHT include elites post launch, but it is 343 (the elite haters) so don’t get your hopes up.

Well, it will not work on me, I will buy the game when elites are playable in Halo Infinite as DLC or in a future game. Thats when I’ll make my purchase.

Your a stronger willed individual than myself then, unfortunately, there are other aspects I enjoy about Halo outside of its multiplayer, and Infinite still ticks those marks for me, that is why It’s not a complete deal-breaker for me, it’s just if nothing entices me about the multiplayer than nothing will keep me on Infinite, and no playable Elites are already a major blow for me.

I never got to use the elites as playable characters, but it would be a bad thing to let them go like this out of nowhere, I say it for those people who like to play as an elite

Since we already have ChocolateRay’s mega post buried somewhere in this mega thread about all the elite armors that could return, what equipment/ weapons do you guys think they should add in along with elites?

That’s strike 3.

343i has ignored this thread for 9 years now. They’ve made up excuses to keep it in the Halo 5 section of the forum instead of moving it into the Infinite section because they want the conversation ended. They just don’t ever intend to put Elites in Halo’s multiplayer. They won’t even add new content for Elite players in MCC, 6 seasons of Spartan visor colors, Spartan armor pieces, and now even a whole new customizable option for Spartans and JUST for Spartans. Not even a single Elite undersuit.

I’m done supporting a developer that refuses to listen to such a large chunk of their community. It’s not like I play Halo 4 or 5 anyway, I’m just not even buying this one. I’ll be back on Halo 3 if anybody needs me.

I’m not going to lie bois, I’m seriously reconsidering buying Halo Infinite now. The thing that drew me to Halo in the first place is no longer in Halo. So why bother.

cause I originally was going to support them. At least when I play COD I actually enjoy the game because COD had put everything into the game I enjoy about it. So I spend money. I was going to do the same with Halo. So unless the MP is so amazing I prob won’t be spending anymore money on Halo Anymore.

It’s hyperlinked on my profile as well.

Exactly how I feel

I’ll still be getting Infinite, despite my disappointment. There’s a lot of things about it I’m excited for. I’ve kind of accepted that playable Elites are a relic of the Bungie era, and 343 has never had any interest in them and probably never will, despite how much some of us would love to see them return.

#ElitesLivesMatter

343, I understand that making elites fair in matchmaking is hard, but you have managed to do much harder in the past games I’m sure.

You are already losing almost half your Halo Infinite players, I assure you, if ten years is how long you want Halo Infinite to last, than I guarantee you that it will not last that long with this much of the population already gone. I strongly urge you to bring playable elites back, not just for the benefit of me, but for the benefit of Halo as a franchise.

About fifty percent of Bungie’s success was because they included playable elites, it has been an age old relic that we have treasured ever since. You’re Halo Infinite style elite is SPOT ON! We have all been wanting to play as them ever since the gameplay reveal in July, we have been waiting for almost a year now only to have our dreams crushed.

You realize that as soon as you said the you weren’t planning on having elites, there was an uproar? This forum is more active than I have ever seen it in years. The many people on YouTube addressed their disappointment with much grief, and most of the comments on the ask 343 video concerned playable elites.

I want Halo Infinite to be as big a hit as you do, but it is simply impossible right now without playable elites, their presence gives the player more choices to express themselves. Isn’t that exactly what you were going for with Halo Infinite? You have said that many times in the past.

You have taken the time to listen to our complaints in the past, and you listen to fan feedback much more than most other industries, which I am grateful for. So please 343, listen to us just once more! Give us playable elites in Halo Infinite, I don’t care if you give us presets of armor like in Halo Reach, or if you give us real custimazation like Spartans, just give us playable elites in matchmaking, we are quite literally begging you. Halo Infinite will not be very Infinite if you can’t play as an elite, and I’ll leave it at that.
