Either way we still need to lock new topics and direct them somewhere, for the time being this thread holds history and we’ll be directing users here
It is best to keep this conversation here. In moving we risk a lack of continuity and carry over, plus points that will get made over and over again that have already been discussed here. One of the greatest backbones of this argument I feel is that we have a nigh-thousand page backlog of discussion which only grows everyday to keep the pressure on. But it does suck that this can’t be moved to a more relevant thread for more discussion.
Nine years worth of passion. Almost a thousand pages of support. Even as they were in Reach would have at least appeased the fans. To omit the variety and forget about the fans. A very hard blow.
There’s a lot of positive about Halo Infinite, I will admit that. However, it just seems as if they take 3 steps forward and 43 back (or 34 forward and 3 back, depending on your point-of-view). The lack of playable Elites isn’t really a good choice, but they did say it’ll be a 10-year-game. There’s the possibility of later adding them which will be very more than welcome. I remember in the glory days of Halo 2 and 3, certain people got upset that Brutes weren’t playable in multiplayer. They could also pull a Halo: Reach move and make playable Elites only available in certain matchmaking and custom games.
They have the power, they have the ability, to make this game right. I won’t pre-order Infinite until I see some change in the right direction, and I’ve pre-ordered every single Halo game in the past with the exception of 1. Remember: we can vote with our wallets, we as consumers have the choice whether to shell-out our hard-earned cash or not for this game.

10 years huh? I hope they do add them in as DLC, but we’ve never seen them make the attempt. Still it would be nice if we did get them in sooner than later.
Dang I remember first seeing this thread 6 years ago and being amazed at how it had been 3 years since it was created for Halo 4, and here we are again in the dev cycle. Guess I will neither be donning my wallet or that bad*** horned executioner armor from Halo Wars 2 for Halo Infinite…
At least we have big voices like HiddenXP on our side, but 343i are quite literally on their 3rd strike. Here’s to hoping they add them in the future yet again, meanwhile Imma stick to MCC/mods
I doubt they’ll be added post game. Infinite will die a few years in and won’t last ten with how it’s going. Or they’ll add a battle royale to keep it alive and abandon the core multiplayer. Kinda funny that one, fortnite has all sorts of skins from everything ranging from stranger things to halo and it works fine, yet 343 cant make elites be “fair”.

It’s only a few and it’s quite honestly annoying how they are defending the game having less features. Maybe someone who plays as an Elite bagged them a few too many times in multiplayer. They’re drinking the 343 koolaid, I don’t think it’s any secret halos 4-5 weren’t anywhere close to the success of the originals and it’s baffling why the community isn’t being acknowledged. Maybe we know what made us enjoy the games so much and our inputs should be valued a bit more after so much…letdown. It’s shady that we can’t even have a thread about an important topic like this within the infinite sub. And mods this isn’t directed at any of you, I respect the job you do for us here on the forums, simply wish we had a voice where our opinions will be acknowledged the most.

I just don’t understand why it’s taken so long to acknowledge a thread that’s been on-going since Halo 4.
In theory yes, the possibility of Elites being added later down the line as DLC is there, 343i have a fancy new engine. The whole point of this engine was so they could implement things into the game with relative ease compared to the outdated Blam! engine so I guess anything is technically possible.
I do feel like this topic needs to be addressed in a proper way though, that section of the Q&A was barely a minute with a pretty poorly executed answer - it honestly felt like they didn’t even know why they weren’t in the game themselves.

Because back then the forums were different and this thread wasn’t as big as it is now.
