To be fair, the new Inside Infinite was about the Halo ring. Playable Elites would fit more into multiplayer news or maybe player customisation? One of those. For now, we must continue to hope for their inclusion.

Tbh if you can’t play as elite my hype will die so hard. Like I would just be happy playing MCC forever on my X1 and just wait until I have to get the new Halo because they shut MCC down

There is obviously a very large population that wants them back, 343 really have no choice except to put playable elites in if they want Infinite to be a huge success.

I don’t know in MCC when you hover over social or competitive games the description reads battle against other Spartans. Not players. 343 is really pushing you are your Spartan crap

Good point. Spartans are the default when it comes to halo matchmaking, so that might be part of it. I personally think that the reason they are adding so many spartan cosmetics to MCC is so people are drawn more to Spartans, so the focus on the elites is taken away. 343 are racist against elites. ( Just look at what they did to them in halo 4/5.)

Yeah. I hope we will be able to play as brutes and elites in multiplayer.
In invasion and firefight, the brutes could be stronger, but at the cost of speed ( I know in lore brutes are faster than elites, but this is just gemeplay). The elites could run faster and have a smaller hitbox than the brutes.
In normal matchmade games the hitboxes and strength of all species could be the same to give people an equal playing field.
Take this as you will, but I really want to play as a brute from time to time because of the cool banished armor. Likewise for the elites.

Yes elites should be the priority over brutes.
How can so many people want elites back, but yet 343 still won’t give us a real answer on whether elites are playable in Halo Infinite? Elite players are still players and we deserve just as many cosmetics as Spartan players! It seems like 343 is treating us like second class citizens! People saying that everyone who play as elites are bad is treating us like second class citizens! It may not be what they are trying to do, but they are doing it nonetheless! This has been an ongoing thing ever since halo 2 came out. I personally, have had enough of it.
Everyone who sees this comment, please spread the word so 343 know that it is a serious issue.
Anyone else really want to see Rtas 'Vadum, N’tho 'Sraom and Usze 'Taham make a glorious come back to Halo Infinite in some way? One of the things I loved about Halo 3’s coop was that there wasn’t four Master Chief’s running around. I do have some hope that we will at least see Arby in some shape or form, although I would love to see him more than we did in Halo 5.

I liked that about halo 3 too. For Infinite I think they should make first player chief, second player Arby, and third and fourth should be their own multiplayer spartan or elite.
As for Arby he’ll probably be back. 343 know how much we love him.

But, due to the absolute lack of reply or even acknowledgement of this thread, 343 seems determined to ignore this part of the fanbase. I honestly have no hope, but I wish that Elites would be added back. Especially with the new design from infinite.

I agree, but also, we all need to recognize how absolutely MASSIVE this thread is. There is absolutely no way 343 can ignore a thread of this size that’s been going on for years now. Trust me, they see it. And honestly? If no playable Elites pop up after all this time that fans have been begging, it really does speak volumes on their opinion towards this huge chunk of the player base. I’m pretty certain they’re teasing us for a big reveal. I envision a multiplayer trailer with Spartans getting pinned down by the enemy team, all their shields gone and on the verge of death- half their own team quit, no ammo, no hope, no nothing, and then 7 Sangheili warriors emerge from active camouflage, swords in hands, standing over them and they charge the enemy team, cutting and slicing them apart, turning the entire tide of the match.
I have hope, I feel that if they didn’t care, they wouldn’t be trying to make a much more interesting universe that finally treats other species as more than just the aliens you shoot in the games- now we frequently see highly intelligent, pragmatic Jiralhanae characters, we see the potential for good in even the San’Shyuum with The Prophet of Clarity, and Tem’Bhetek when he realised he had been lied to in Shadow of Intent. Heck now Guilty Spark inhabits a Promethean Soldier body and travels the galaxy with a crew that took him in. I also believe in 343’s ‘redemption’ coming full circle. Whilst I’ve never hated the new art style, never hated the newer games, and have actually praised 343’s contributions as taking this franchise higher than it ever could’ve been taken beforehand, I feel that there’s just a few things they’ve fallen short in. Bringing Elites back into gameplay, for me, is the final hurdle in the long marathon they’ve run to win the approval of the fandom. If there’s any time to do it, Infinite is that time.

Not only thta but the support seems to be growing too. I’ve seen multiple video’s of playable elites either being supported in you tube vids or being one someone’s top 10 list. Find every piece of media and give it to them.
