Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Top priority playable Sanghieli , second priority playable Unggoy, third priority playable everything I’m talking any kind of alien from the San’shyuum to the Yan’mee to the Legolo , Jiralanhae , Promethean soldier hell even a Grunt Goblin would be awesome!!! Course the biggest issue would be finding a way to balance all these playable characters.I’d probably , unfortunately have to go with playable Sangheili as they would be the easiest to balance all they’d need is to be limited to custom games only as their abilities would be insane and way too OP in matchmaking here’s a list of what their abilities could be:

  • Enraged: As the Sanghieli warrior pounds their chest and roars they become imbued with a war cry that makes them 25-30% more resistant to any and all kinds of damage. (lasts for 5-10 secs) - Vault: When their path is blocked they can jump over the object similar to clambering (Practically Sangheili’s version of Clamber) - Evade: - Body Slam: Similar to Spartan Charge this ability causes a Sanghieli to send their opponent flying when they slam into them - Persistent mind: For 5 seconds Sanghieli is able to predict enemy movements - Overcharge: Sanghieli warrior is able to gain a slight boost o their shields for 10-15 secs - Sangheili Honor: If so chooses a Sanghieli can choose to offer mercy to their opponent or duel with them in an honor battlePlease read this as it might help you form a basis for re-integrating (pretty sure this isn’t a word :slight_smile: playable Sanghieli into Halo 5 or Halo 6 or quite possibly integrating new playable characters in future games , other then that please keep doing the great work you’re doing 343 :0

I think it could work with jetpacks/camo if you dont start the match with armor abilities they should be scattered around the map so whoever gets to them first has an advantage I just think it would be ridiculous to start a match with jetpacks or avtive camo and I believe it’d be more fun trying to find the armor abilities rather than just starting with themand of courae the armor abilities coukd vary feom map to map so one map would have a jetpack and active camo whereas maybe another map would have an overshield armor ability or a hover armor ability

I really do agree on the promethean soldiers their hitboxes would be about the same as a spartan

If anything the lore proves that they should be in multiplayer especially looking at some of Halo 5’s spartan armors their descriptions even say that there are UNSC/Sangheili who make armora together and even furthing my point they even go on to say that there are joint UNSC/Sangheili teams in the field its like 343 made Halo 5 with the intention to integrate elites in a major way but just didnt do it

These are some very interesting ideas, and I really like them.

However, I would want some thing like these in a spin-off Halo title, instead of the mainline games, that way, you could have then outside of custom games, and give Spartans similar abilities

Seems quite MMO like, but I really do think there’s some potential in there man.

The elite playlist is something I miss from reach

I think they should bring them back in the next halo game and maybe we will get a new mode where one team is all elites and the other are spartans that would be or the elites would have less health and do less damage but there is like 3 spartans and the elites have ai grunts and jackals so basically like lone wolf but with three people and you can be a elite

Sounds like Reach’s firefight although I do miss firefight its still not a bad idea and I know a lot of people want ai in forge so if we got firefight back imagine all the different maps and possibilites there would be if we did get ai in forge

He mentioned ai grunts so I thought of firwfight and since you could play as elites in Reach firefight I thought of that first but these requests for spartan vs elite modes bother me slightly because thats why elites were so restricted in Reach multiplayer but if we could be a spartan OR elite in modes like warzone team slayer and ffa then Id also be ok with spartannvs elite game types as well but maybe as a separate playlist

Um no, never again, I do not want Elites restricted to certain game modes. If they return, they either allow me to be an Elite all the time regardless of mode, or not at all. I hated the way Reach handled the Elites, not only did Bungie make them annoying to fight in the campaign with their 5x energy shields and their (shudders) side step, they could not even have the curtsy to add them as options in custom games where they could be turned on or off so you could force the game to recognize player preference, so as long as you had the Elite as a preferred species then you would always be one as long as those options were turned on. Sorry about the rant, I am just tired of being a spartan, and want to finally put my spartan to rest once 343 finally gives us Elites, and I want to choose if I ever be a spartan again, not some game mode.

I really hope a thread with over 17000 replies will be enough to get 343’s attention, probably not though.

Been watching this thread since it first popped up those years ago, glad to finally say hello. I completely support the return of our sangheili to multiplayer. Would prefer us not being restricted to specific game modes like back in reach if possible.

I want them in only Custom Games. I think they’ll break multiplayer competitive. Unless they do what they did in reach.

I agree completely I hate how reach handled the elites and hated it even more that they were completely removed from multiplayer in 4 hopefully 343 will do the right thing with Halo 6 since they’re taking longer to make it than previous Halo titles

I hated the way Reach handled the Elites, not only did Bungie make them annoying to fight in the campaign with their 5x energy shields and their (shudders) side step, they could not even have the curtsy to add them as options in custom games where they could be turned on or off so you could force the game to recognize player preference, so as long as you had the Elite as a preferred species then you would always be one as long as those options were turned on. Sorry about the rant, I am just tired of being a spartan, and want to finally put my spartan to rest once 343 finally gives us Elites, and I want to choose if I ever be a spartan again, not some game mode.

If they’re only in custom games then this whole thread would almost be for nothing sure we got them back but not to the extent we want
