I think he was just trying to show that elites could have similar abilities to spartans though I do agree it looks more like the elite just shoved 6 instead of a full on charge

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say 343 needs to just remove spartan abilities, Halo 3 had equipment items which I thought was a good idea and I think they shoukd bring thay back

Whilst I usually don’t apreaciate people speaking for me, I’ll let this one slip; I agree, equipment was the best form of innovation, without changing the core gameplay.

Well, I would want certain equipment like the Jet pack and active camouflage to stay with you for as long as you want. It doesn’t really make sense for it to just disappear.

Jetpack runs out of fuel
Active Camo saps a lot of power from the suit, and the suit has failsafes that prevent the Active Camo from remaining on the suit.

My point is that jet packs and active camouflage can be refueled/recharged, they don’t just explode after 20 seconds like the equipment in Halo 3. Plus, you can enable/disable them, which isn’t an option with Halo 3’s equipment.
Also, I prefer what makes sense in the lore over balance.

Agreed, all in all, I think Reach did it best. A ground pound could be part of the armour abilities.
If 343 does add the elites into to multiplayer I think that many older fans would return (if it was the classic elites) and it would make many elite only clans comeback

If MP made sense in the lore, Plasma Pistols would kill in one to two shots when shields are down.
Lore is also the reason we don’t have playable Elites.

Not really, there’s no lore reason against them. Especially if you look at a certain Anvil Station on Halopedia.

Infinity is Spartan only. Or, at least that’s what 343 gave as their limp excuse for no playable Elites.
Additionally, Anvil Station occupies a dubious area of canonicity, as it was part of the new defunct Halo Online, none of which is confirmed canon.
Anyway, Balance > Lore. I’d rather not die to two plasma pistol shots. Or a couple of BR rounds to my leg.

Anvil Station has definitely been confirmed to be canon, even if Halo Online is defunct.

From a cancelled game where the only information is on Waypoint.
Glad we’re taking everything posted on Waypoint as canon, now.

Could’ve sworn we were just talking about Halopedia. There is both canonical and non-canonical information on it.
Also, calm down, this is supposed to be but a fruitful debate, you don’t need to get defensive.

The only information about Anvil Station comes from Halo Waypoint. That’s the only source for the “canon” information on Halopedia.
Anyway, I thought about it a little more, and frankly, I wouldn’t mind having playable Brutes and Promethean Soldiers (if we have to have Prometheans in our Halo games now) in addition to Elites. Halo is a big universe. There’s no reason to restrict us to a single race at all times.

Agreed, it would be great, but once again, Elites are the priority before anything else, then Brutes, which to be honest always should have been playable.
