Your thoughts?

> I posted this as an idea a few days back as a customization option it would be cool but adding to the idea of customization we need Reach’s customization back where we can have separate armor pieces to change and we could either add or remove our emblems from specific parts of our armor, another idea is we shoukd be able to change the color of individual pieces of armor it would make our characters more unique and varied so we dont all just feel like clones of spartans and elites

that is true

If Elites Return to Multiplayer for Halo 6 bring back Halo 3 Elite Armor, Reach and Halo 2 Anniversary Style!

I wouldnt mind the new armors as long as we get the old style back as well that way 343 can please both old and new fans of Halo

That’ what I was more than less thinking too

this thread is nearing it’s 6th birthday, nearly 6 long years of us fighting for playable elites back…

Apparently Halo 6 is going to be “The best Halo made yet” according to one of the devs so if its going to be the BEST we NEED playable elites back in multiplayer, hopefully 343i got the message that we want them back we’ve waited long enough…

so far that’s seemed impossible, statistically speaking the best halo ever was halo 3, 10 years ago, the game sold 12 million copies and was the most played game on the entire xbox until modern warfare 2 came out and took its place. Halo reach is the only game that came close to that, selling 10 million copies. (forgot how much halo 4 sold but i think it was about 8 million). Then there’s halo 5 with less than 6 million copies… If 343 want to make the best halo ever they need to be able to top halo 3, they need to make every mission just as memorable as halo 3’s were, they need to have better music that actually fits and pumps you up that will remain stuck in your head for years (they did good in h4 with arrival but that’s the only good song in that entire game imo, the rest are trash). They need an actual compelling and amazing story, then in the multiplayer they need to have more than a bare bones game on launch that we need to wait almost 2 years to become a full game, they need to have elites playable in every game mode just like they were in halo 3, and the customization and ranking system should be different. Halo 3 had the best customization system because to unlock armor you literally had to do everything in the game had to offer, you had to play the game on legendary, get multiplayer achievements, find the skulls, play custom games, and even forge, you had to experience the whole game to unlock your armor in halo 3. And they also need to change the ranking system, halo 3 had the best ranking system because no one actually knew fully how the hell it even worked, that made people not care about their rank and just make them want to have fun playing the game. If 343 has declared they are going to make halo 6 the best halo ever then they need to manage to top all of this.

I think it is possible but very unlikely considering their record of removing things people like feom the game (Flood was replaced by infection which I enjoyed Flood more) They need to like you said have elites playable in ALL multiplayer modes (I would be ok with just social and warzone though) and they need to bring back the original Bungie style customization. With what you said about forge I remember Halo 3 ODST launching with the Mythic maps (Thats how they launched I believe cant remember exactly) and in the Mythic maps there was a secret skull you had to find this made my friend and I play Forge mode split screen for HOURS trying to figure out how to get that skull on sandbox and when we couldnt we just messed around making ridiculous maps (since Im on the topic of Forge I think AI in Forge woukd really make Halo 6 good as well)I want that sense of achievement back where finishing the game on Legendary would grant you some awesome looking armor I want something like the challenge for Recon armor back where you have to get noticed by 343 to get a special armor set but not just for spartans one set for elites as well and going off what you said about the soundtrack you’re completely right Halo 4 had one good song which was like you said Arrival the others just arent memorable like the other games where I play thorough the game and know what song is next and it would really set the mood for what was happening Bungie wanted to make you feel dread when you first saw the Flood when that spine chilling music kicked in and those combat forms busted open the door in CE it made me uneasy, uncomfortable and it was all due to the mood the music set, in Halo 2 at the beginning of Uprising when Arbiter comes through the portal and the saddening music kicks in it makes you feel like since the elites are betrayed that theres no hope and it made you FEEL something for the elites the enemies you’ve killed in CE, it makes you feel like you’re in the Arbiters place seeing your people dead (Although that could just be me) Before I continue to rant, everything you’ve stated I agree with competely sorry for the rant.

Only one way to find out.

> Even if 343 listens, they won’t deliver what we want. They have asked pro player about maps, and if they are okay. Yet they still change what the players said was perfect, and then they (343) say okay somethings gotta change. (Source of where I got this is from Ready Up Live “Dear 343”.)
>
> Halo Reach to me, had everything perfect for them. Spartans sprint, Elites Evade. I loved the idea of Spartans vs Elites. Because 343 took them out, I had to watch my favorite Machinimas die, because Reach was being forgotten, and because 343 wouldn’t please all of the fans. Just the competitive. Elites should be playable to add a bit more customization to a character. I mean whenever the Reveal for Halo 2 Anniversary was shown at E3, “We are playing Spartans vs Elites 2x”, me and a group of friends was like, AWESOME!!! And whenever I played reach I remember hundreds of thousands of players playing Invasion, cause of being able to play both sides and live a battle UNSC vs Covenant.
>
> A famous Forger also made her own gamemode of Invasion on Halo 5, the mode is Red being UNSC and Blue being Covenant. It’s fun, but doesn’t give me the same feeling like it did 8 years ago. Playable Elites needs to come back, it would be awesome to have a clan system with them like there is with Spartans. Idea, Spartan companies, and Elite Lances/Ships. I miss them, I miss being able to play as one and look cool. I remember being in Halo 3 and scrolling through the roster of a lobby, always at least 1-3 people playing as a Elite, same thing on Reach. 343, you might not know it, but a good portion of Halo Reaches population now, is Sangheili Clans. They refuse to move on due to this. Kinda dumb but you know some people go above and beyond.
>
> Edit: Note, there is a Sangheili clan almost 100 members in their Spartan Company (Sadly the leader ended it.) “Empire of the RSL” they moved to Halo 5, but it really looks ridiculous, as many Elite clans have said to wear Helios Skrill and try to be a Elite. Themed armor isn’t enough. Bring them back.

Are you in the Sangheili Clan community? Or the clan community in general?

I do agree that for Halo 6 to be the best Halo ever, it would need just about everything you mentioned in the latter half of your post (despite the fact that you worded all of these subjective issues as if they are simple, objective fixes). However, I’m not really quite sure why you bothered speaking statistically, as money made off of something certainly does not equal quality.

Also, I have to disagree with you on Halo 4’s soundtrack. In addition to Arrival, I remember and thoroughly enjoy Revival, 117, Solace, Green and Blue, Nemesis, Awakening, Haven, To Galaxy, Immaterial, Lasky’s Theme, and Never Forget (Midnight Version). Meanwhile, I remember the names of very few soundtracks from Halo 3.

Oh yeah that was really good too. I think my favorite Halo soundtracks are the ones that deviate from that standard Halo theme and rhythm that we’re all so used to. That’s probably why I like and remember so many soundtracks from Halo Reach, Halo 4, and Halo Wars 2. I’m just so sick of songs like “The Trials” from Halo 5, I really think Halo should really change up it’s music, and only keep the choirs where it would sound pretty different from the standard Halo theme, like with Halo Wars 2’s “The Banishing”.

i only said statistically speaking because its less likely to offend someone when i give my opinion and start a counter productive argument from someone that skims a big rant like that and responds without acknowledging any of the points i made. That’s the only reason i brought it up.

I hope it will introduce the elites but the community is full of their absence since the 4th, as they listen to the community first they would decide to put them in h5

Like most of the modes in matchmaking, too bad there is no option to toggle between Spartans only/both/Elites only as there is a lot of modes in the game with unique traits (like Zombie Ghosts which grant the same flaming effect as the juggernaut for the infected players) . There is also few modes around that change what you play based on the team color.

I wasn’t talking about matchmaking. Classic Slayer forces you to be a Human even in custom games.
