Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

I bet your also the lad running around screaming about “Halo’s turning into CoD!” Why remove one of the benefit’s of playing a Sci-Fi shooter. Playing as something other then a Human.

MC is a Spartan II. I don’t know if you realized this, but we play as Spartan IV’s. No, MC will forever be shorter than an Elite.

I truly have no idea what you’re talking about, man. What does MC even have to do with us being able to use Elites in the MP?

> I bet your also the lad running around screaming about “Halo’s turning into CoD!” Why remove one of the benefit’s of playing a Sci-Fi shooter. Playing as something other then a Human.

I like COD. I’ve got my killstreaks and camp spots down pretty well. I like the lack of balance the game gives me in many situations. 2.80 ratio in FFA

Come to think of it if Halo did turn into space COD it might not be that bad after all. Good suggestion!

> > The reason you were “flamed monstrously” was because Bungie catered to you guys (Spartan fans) the entirety of their control over Halo. It was always unfair. Now 343 are catering to you aswell.

In the third game Bungie made Elites the exact same as spartans except the hit detection on the player model was terrible. In Reach, they made Elites realistic and therefore made them unusable in most game types.

Honestly, The Arbiter’s side story in Halo 2 was way more compelling then all of Master Chief’s segment’s in the whole trilogy. I wonder why alot of people consider Halo 2 to have one of the better Campaign’s in the trilogy.

Now your just trolling. If your gonna do that go hit up the Gear’s of War forum’s. There real edgy down there. You will get way better responses from them.

Now you’re just as mad as me!

What if Spartans were removed completely? (<- Asked before) How would you react?

>
> Also…really? Did you just say it’d ridiculous? We’re fighting Aliens with a split-jaw (which, evolutionarily makes no sense. What in the hell are they eating that they need mandibles like that for?!), that fire plasma bolts. Not to even mention we’re a genetically enhanced super soldier… Oh, and we’re also in a training simulation this time around. So, nothing even needs to follow the basic laws of…anything.

You are describing a game that isn’t Halo then and it’s never going to happen. There is a lot of psychology behind the Master Chief character and playing as a Spartan in mulitplayer.

I understand the psychology of people wanting to be an Elite but for the sake of balance and priorities the decision made is the correct one for Halo 4.

> See where I’m going with this? :stuck_out_tongue:

I do. Trying to bring logic, facts and discussions about evolution to an internet discussion is just plain absurd. I mean it’s the internet. I bow to you as a worthy opponent.

I also vehemently disagree with you and am thankful that Elites have been taken out. Awesome.

You fail. I used to play as a Spartan when I first played Halo 2 because I didn’t know I could play as an elite. When I found out about the elites in multiplayer, I changed my player model to one, and it just stuck with me. Without the elites my interest in Halo would have ended many years ago.

You will never understand the mindset of a true Sangheili fan.

If people didn’t care about elites in multiplayer this thread wouldn’t be so large.

-Yoink- balance. If everything is balanced the game will be boring.

That would be John’s actual height, minus the MJOLNIR.
With it, a Spartan is from 7.5-7.7 feet tall.
That’s a 1 foot difference, hardly anything to cry about.
Posture and hitboxes can be fixed easily.
I love how you avoid the fact that we’re playing as S-IVs in Halo 4. (Which we hardly know anything about)
Your reasons are not valid. (Bam, said the lady!)

Please tell me you’re joking… <.<
You could play as Sangheili in Halo: Custom Edition (mods)
You most definitely could play as one in Halo 2.
I agree the hitboxes were/are terrible but could be is easily fixed for Halo 4.
Realistic? I assume you mean they slouched some when they had a sword? Otherwise they were no different.
What are you talking about? The very first level you encounter Sangheili…

> If everything is balanced the game will be boring.

So you aren’t interested in skill being the determining outcome of an encounter?

I posted this in another thread also. No Elites might mean no Sword, means no Infection. How good would that be? On of the worst gametypes in Halo. There’s no balance.

Also no Banshee in BTB - that vehicle was stupid in Reach. So poorly implemented and over-powered.

> Posture and hatboxes can be fixed easily.

But then they don’t look like Elites if you go changing basic physiology like posture. It didn’t work in H3 when they were apparently the same size so yeah this is the best outcome.

> Sangheili 8 foot 6.

Nope, try again.

The sword is in the game.

Go play a Quake or Unreal game. You’d freak out at all of the different player models that you have to choose from. Different player models can work. How many Sci-Fi shooters out there are just human on human? It’s boring as -Yoink-.

Yes, but everyone’s making it sound like they’re cut from all multiplayer, and are not at all playable. I could care less about matchmaking. MM players can keep their balance. I’ll keep my badass reptile character in customs.

it was confirmed in the gameinformer story they aren,t playable. it is the picture with the DMR on it gonna miss being a squidface especially how they went back to the H3 design style

> it was confirmed in the gameinformer story they aren,t playable. it is the picture with the DMR on it gonna miss being a squidface especially how they went back to the H3 design style

Does everyone ignore the word: “Competitive”. GI said Elites weren’t playayble in competitive. I still have some hope for playable custom game Elites.

> it was confirmed in the gameinformer story they aren,t playable. it is the picture with the DMR on it gonna miss being a squidface especially how they went back to the H3 design style

Actually it coul be because the elite was being in a sword fighting pose like in Halo Reach when the arch forward. in another picture, the Elite was slightly taller than Mc when holding the gun
