Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> I really hope there back in halo 6 , I think they will be I get the impression that 343 are starting to realise finally that halo players like halo games to look sound and play like halo not call of duty or destiny. Also I hope they bring back playing as master chief not some boring meaningless personality lacking -Yoink- that is Locke

I hope Halo 6 adds playable elites. We know split-screen is a given and that Forge will be improved no matter what.

I stand corrected, though frankly, my opinion on the helmet hasn’t changed much.

Hm, well I supose I can live whit it, so long as we don’t see that helmet in particular and actualy see both of them.

I’d be fine with elites in customs, but not matchmaking. For it to work in matchmaking , they’d have to balance the character model and hitbox in such a way that it resembles a spartan’s. I remember in H3, elites had both advantages (harder to hit back of their head) and disadvantages (more mass to hit). That’s why they were generally used more in SWAT than in other modes. With that said, I do miss elites.

There are folks who enjoy both and it’s best to include them all as best as we can

I don’t think that they need to be restricted that much necerely. I think we could have them in the casual playlists, so long as we keep them out of competetive.

That I can agree on.

I wonder if the bring the Elite Ranks from reach into Halo 6

The elites wouldn’t fit with the spartan abilities at all. Halo could implement a hero shooter system where elites are slower with more health, but that would go against the way arena is played. I’m sure someone has said everything I just said already, but I haven’t ever replied to this thread.

You do have a point

I kinda wanna know how many people are playing the classic playlist to see if they like the old way to play better. If so, they’d bring it back and get rid of these new spartan abilities and Elites don’t have to have crazy abilities in multiplayer to match them. For them to be playable now you’d need to give them evade, and a shoulder charge or whatever else.

y tho? Please elaborate cause there’s no reason for elites to not have Spartan abilities. Just because they’re called spartan abilities doesn’t mean elites can’t have them.

would be funny to watch an elite do a ground pound. XD

On a serious note they could swap ground pound for something else, like something that could take an elites full body strength.

i imagine them without using thrusters just leaping into the air and body slamming whatever they want to kill lol

As much as I prefer the classic gameplay, I can’t deny how badass it would look for elites to use ground pound and shoulder charge.

They wouldn’t particularly have to use their fist either, I could be a stomp with their foot!

or just have them charge forward and put all of their strength into a punch hard enough to cave the spartans face in lol

That would look even better -in a wierd way- to see the elites use all of their might to stomp the ground their feet as they land.

cough they are actually hooves cough

and before you tell me they aren’t i’ve even asked jeff easterling (the lore guy at 343) and he said they are hooves, and one of my friends has lived her whole life with horses, looked at the elites, and said they have hooves, and i’ve even had conversations with loreheads saying they are hooves, and what many people perceive as toes are just cartilage acting like toes.

Well… in that case I’ll refer to it as ‘boots’ instead.
