Yea, this forum thread has been up since before halo 4 was released. Lol they saw it as a honest chant from the community and decided to keep pushing it into the future main series forums.
Also fun side note, I was here when waypoint started, but I wasn’t active at all. Bungie started funneling us onto this sight to get us familiar with it and I just kinda went on hiatus from forums all together.

Just nothing to talk about for now because we’re still in the middle of the annual Halo information drought.
I really hope there back in halo 6 , I think they will be I get the impression that 343 are starting to realise finally that halo players like halo games to look sound and play like halo not call of duty or destiny. Also I hope they bring back playing as master chief not some boring meaningless personality lacking -Yoink- that is Locke

They are starting to realize of they’re bounds to what is available to them, and that includes what they can leave in and what they can take out.
Bringing back things like this would solidify trust in knowing that they didn’t have to bring back the Playable elites mechanic, but they did it for the fans, and so, if they do that, that means they’re listening, and if Halo 6 is good on top of this, than I will be solidified in 343 once again!
That’s just me though, than again I do wish for them to make Locke a more like-able character, but that’s not the point, haha!

It got me thinking, we have seen many awesome Combat Harness’ from the lore, but if you could devise a new form of armour for our prestigious race what would they be like?

It wouldn’t be new but that elite harness is something I would never put on my character, and that’s not to say it isn’t fantastic and or fitting!
My vision of the highest order in elite wear comes with the greatest, most spastic, but also, most regulated designs of some of the higher generals, wearing Helmets of great heights and shoulder plates that shoot up like swords, and thigh guards that look thick yet sharp!
Don’t judge me, I was a fan of the Halo Reach armours, haha! To this day, I still can’t see why people hate the Field Marshall and General sets, Those plates look perfectly high and bombastic as if they were a living war banner, inspiring those around them to the gold flag, as those who see the reflection off of that yellow tone spark fear among their numbers.
Elites are great at slick, slithery stealth, believe me, I know, but massive morale officers like these are what I need from at least 3 or 4 legendary armour sets ONLY unlockable by doing impressive feats as Elite Specialists.
I don’t have a picture of what I mean, but I would love a work off of what Reach did with General, a few more of those, only different, and meaningful, you know?

I understand your opinion and respect it. I always wear the Field Marshal because it just feels like something a wise leader would wear and command his troops with. The armour made by Rythaze I also enjoy, I always enjoy seeing those slick spines atop a nice combat harness added to the intimidation, like the Ascetic Helmet.

You know my entire clan is still begging 343I to bring back elites. Just recently watched HiddenXperia’s elite design video.

We’re it so easy. 343I won’t dare to lock a post Halo Fans are heavy on. 2. One of the most popular forms. 3. Like in the most popular demand, and 4. Is still actively going on.

I just had an Idea, not sure if its already been said though. With H6, we could have a coop mode (like firefight) where we play as our own custom sword of sanghelios Elite, and do missions in collaboration with the UNSC. Sort of like spartan ops but better. You can then unlock weapons and upgrades for your elites armour (for PvE only) such as quicker recharge shields or quicker base speed, or longer lasting stealth. PvE players have no had much variety in Halo (I am a Pvper myself) and it would add another nice layer to the game, and characterize the swords of sanghelios some more.
What do you all think?

yep every 360 halo game is now backwards compatible… kinda makes mcc irrelevant now
