I mentioned it because he said something about it. Chill out forum police

If you read the “Summer Sizzle” Community Update, you may have heard that the largest content drop in Halo 5 is arriving. This could mean so much: more weapons, more gametypes, improved Forge, enhanced Warzone, more maps, etc., etc. However, those of us who would love to see the Sangheili make a glorious return may be in luck. I think that DLC like Monitors Bounty really added a lot to Halo 5, but this upcoming DLC is going to be even larger. So, could the Elites be a part of this update? We can cross our fingers.

It’s not a content drop at all, it’s 4K support, some tweaks and whatnot, and some new features, no new maps, or guns. I wish there was elites included but the update isn’t adding new content l

Also, it’s probably a bit too late for that. Elites in Halo 5 NOW would a be awkward since most people hate the design.

On top of the fact that the game is almost two years old

There will be all of the things you mentioned, but there is definitely going to be another content drop this Fall.

hey does anyone know how to say either of these two words in sangheili

  1. last
  2. shadow

I didn’t realize how old this thread was. I hope this isn’t being revived by being saw in the forums earlier. However, from a canon standpoint, Elites would be perfect in matchmaking. The Sangheili and Spartans have worked together in Warzone simulations before and are aligned in the campaign. Plus they are used in simulations of Warzone. They deserve a place as a player model and role in matchmaking as they always have before. This also gives opportunity for many armor options for them too.

Both of those words are currently untranslated in both of the dialects

If playable elites are included I’m going to be pissed. I just busted my -Yoink- to get Helioskrill, now there’s gonna be playable elites?! I’ll have to play as an elite! My Helioskrill armor will be useless!

Wait, what? Summer Sizzle? Biggest content drop in Halo 5?
Bigger than Warzone Firefight? Dude! This might be a breakthrough!
I hope they don’t just waste it on Weapon skins man, because this could be the perfect opportunity to implement them, or even a Playable elites Beta, where they can see which method of implementation the community likes more!
(I’m sorry, I know I’ve brought this up many times, but it is a big topic that I like to get across, which can be fixed by mine and ChocolateRay’s method!)

Gosh I’d be so upset if they waste it on weapon skins.

343i could make a -Yoink- ton of money if they add the Sangheili (Elites) as playable again and possibly also add Promethean Soldiers as playable. only if 343i listen to the longtime fans (Not just the MLG players) but it would probably be more successful

Cool although how would it work for war zone. For elites

It could be possible. I’d really like to think they’re doing it for this small community of Elite lovers though.
I mean, we aren’t small anymore, look at us! But still, there’s a lot of potential in their implementation, and it even could be noted as a creativity factor in terms of cosmetic appearance, something 343 could use in the future of Halo.
And this would only be shadowed and brought in by the fact that we shouted for it, and they brought it to us like we wanted, the fact that they listened.
I say this way too much, someone could probably quote it numerous times, but it still stands.
Playable elites are a bond, and should it return, I will have doubly faith on what they can do, because they saw it.

That’s my stance, haha!

I really wish that 343 would add playable elites… It’s been over five years since they were taken away, it’s just so much more fun to be playing as an alien rather than humans as it adds a nice level of variety most games lack nowadays…

They would function just like Spartans, except they are Swords of Sanghelios. They would fight the exact same bosses, capture the exact same bases, etc. For the sake of balance, they should, by default, have the UNSC weapons for their loadouts.

I’m just hoping they make more official statements recognizing and confirming that Elites should be playable. Right now things are a bit tense and mundane, it would be a spot of relief to have them (us) confirmed.
