>
> Well, yeah I can see where you’re coming from, but it is an arena shooter, everyone starts off whit the same. Then again, they could do some sort of equivulents for the elites, that look different, but fills the same purpose.

People would always argue that they aren’t even or fair, plus my original point was that’s probably part of the reason they have yet to bring back playable elites. Because it’s all even starts and giving elites these spartan abilities in my opinion would be stupid. Game needs to go back to classic halo gameplay and innovate around that and not change core halo mechanics just to change it.

People play different games for different experiences, which is one of the reasons overwatch is killing it as well as battlefield, because there is no other games that offer that kind of experience.

Classic halo is one of a kind and there is no game like classic halo, if they would just realize this then halo would be doing sooo much better.

People can talk sales all day but halo 5 didn’t sell all that way compared to even halo 4, people don’t want what they are offering. I will admit that they did a fantastic job implementing all the new abilities but it’s just not halo and not what people want.

Getting rid of sprint and ADS and spartan charge and ground pound, but keeping thruster and clamber, would make a great compromise at least and be significantly better than halo 5.

Playable elites is one more step in the right direction, I don’t even play as elites and I want them back, especially for all the people who do love elites I think they deserve the option. If we aren’t more vocal about what we want then halo 6 will be a nail in the coffin I fear.

> This is just a VERY random idea I have, but it might be cool if you could play as an avatar from each faction in Halo 6. So basically, UNSC has Spartans, the Covenant have Elites, the Banished have playable, energy-shielded Brutes, and finally, playable Promethian Soldiers with rechargeable shields (but no teleporting). This, along with customizable armor for each faction, might be a very interesting addition to the multiplayer part of the game. So, just an idea for 343.

That would actually be cool if you could play as all these different types of soldiers. The way I took your idea, was like, there’s a game mode that has 4 teams (These 4 factions) that all go against one another, and players rotate between all 4 factions after each round.

thats a shame

Hope to see this soon

Don’t have to tell me twice! I compleatly agree whit you. It is of my own opinions too that halo should go back to its roots.

Though Im not to sure about clamber, it would -well, looking at H5, it has- eliminate crouch jumping.

I agree it should all go, but if clamber and thrusters was all we had to deal with it would be much more bearable.

I agree. Although I like that sprinting gets you around the battlefield quicker than walking, I could definitely play with just clamber and thruster.

No offense taken. I was on vacation for a about a month, whitout internet. Though I have to ask, from the sources I viewed, Rise of atriox would release on august 2, wich clearly wasn’t the case. Is there any credible release date? Or is the august 30? I’ve heard that too.

The first issue will be published on August 30th.

It’d be great for elites to be in Halo 6, but I doubt they will be

The logic of why elites would ever be exactly like Spartans in every way destroys what little alien feel they have left. Plus the models of the elites would look cheesy doing the things the Spartans do, even the Spartans look a bit ridiculous with some of them.

Because it’s all even starts and giving elites these spartan abilities in my opinion would be stupid. Game needs to go back to classic halo gameplay and innovate around that and not change core halo mechanics just to change it.

People must understand that with halo, sprint is an illusion. They upscale and stretch maps so that you aren’t getting around the map too fast, to avoid nonsense choas. Games like cod and gears and titan fall don’t do this because their games are designed to be fast paced twitch shooters. Gears isn’t as fast as cod but the point stands the same.

If halo didnt have sprint, the maps would be smaller to avoid tedious walking like in past halo games. If they took out sprint, designed typical sized halo maps and gave you increased base movement speed the game wouldn’t play slow and would actually play much more consistently.

Sprint in all games doesn’t effect map design necessarily because those are meant to be twitch shooters, but halo even if halo 5 is meant to be quicker, it can only be so fast. Why? Because halo is about slower kill times, strafing, and consistent accuracy instead of landing 2-3 bullets you have to land much more and it allows a larger skill gap because even if a less skilled player lands first shot you have the chance to out maneuver him and make him miss and win the fight. However in games like cod if you get shot in the back 99% of the time you lose.

There is ways to make halo play more consistently and play faster without sprint.

Those who who use the logic “how can I not sprint as a super soldier?” Well consider the fact that MM is a training simulation and if you have ever watched any military based combat in a movie or even raw footage in real life you won’t ever see someone sprinting around the battlefield and powersliding, why? Because tactically speaking it’s very dangerous and stupid to do that. What you do see is a lot of either slow walking or fast walking with their guns up and ready, just like the original halo trilogy MP. that’s a much more logical depiction of combat. A well trained super soldier isn’t gonna do action hero moves in combat just because he’s a super soldier, that’s how you would end up dead.
