Well my list is just supposed to be stand-ins that mimic the Spartan Abilities that they stand in for. The lunge thing would be introducing a new ability.

It would be new, but there’s really nothing else that would be able to fit an Elite’s version of the ground pound ability.

Simply Ground Pound itself except the player must have the higher ground and jump straight on the target, the actual attack could be triggered by a melee when close enough and with enough falling speed.

Overall it’s faster to engage but a bit more tricky to pull out.

EDIT : also I guess Spartans can’t move shortly after hitting the ground, Elites wouldn’t have that issue since failing to perform a ground pound would just result in a melee being thrown in the air, they wouldn’t have an area of effect either, it’s a kill or nothing at all.

> Well, I appreciate a Grunt that can appreciate their Elite. You make me proud. But anyway lmao, I’m thinking that if they bring on the Reach design, which accurately makes them bigger than the Spartans, they can just increase their speed and health and leave the shields the same.

It’s a good excuse of mine since I can leave Elites without problem and it fits my playstyle a lot, also my future on Halo is over for me I think.

I don’t know if the health is actually better than Spartans in Reach, the HUD shows 4 squares but that’s all and if they are stronger it’s too small to make a difference.

In Halo Reach Elites have slightly more shields. Takes like 2 extra shots to kill them from Hip Fire. Head shots are same as a Spartans. Health is the same as a Spartans.

But they had a much larger hitbox, meaning they were easier to pop in the head with the DMR

even though that 5th shot to drop the shields was a tad annoying compared to a Spartan’s 4 shots to drop the shields.

I Never thought it was easier to get headshots. And even if so you forget elites have one advantage over Spartans. You can’t really headshot them well from behind. Elite Models where bigger yes and the body had a larger hitbox, but literally everything that tied to 2 shots or instant kills on a player was the same on a elites. Literally this hitboxes of the head of an elite is the same. Unless you consider the next. Which is counted as a body shot in Halo Reach. Hence why You can’t kill them from behind easily.

No one here cares about a dang hitbox on a player model.

What’s funny is 343 did Halo Reaches Multiplayer. Which means they know how to balance Elites. But they’re to busy kissing the CoD kids rear end.

Reach was weird about balancing Elites and Spartans. They just kind of decided to have fun with the differences I guess, since Elites were never intended to be mixed in to standard multiplayer. But yes, if you play enough Elite/Spartan stuff you will find Elite heads are very much easier to hit to the point where it’s tempting to just ignore the Spartans. Especially sniping… you go from a huge Elite head that you can’t miss to a beady little Spartan head… You get the point, and yes it is noticeably harder to hit Elites in the head from the back which a pain if they are running away, although this isn’t exactly that useful like most of the Elites’ differences. For some additional changes, Elites ran faster (although not with Sprint), they couldn’t grab health packs but their health would fully regenerate health unlike Spartans who would only regenerate to certain points (like vehicles which nobody seems to be aware of, but that’s another point entirely), and of course as was just mentioned their shields were slightly stronger and could take an extra shot with most standard weapons (health was the same despite the weird HUD differences). Oh, and I guess Elites had that subtle “shoot here” indicator with most Covenant weapons that I can’t imagine many people gave much thought to.

I wouldn’t say they fully did Reach’s multiplayer unless you are aware of something I am not, but 343 did certainly save it with their TU stuff. Now if only they had applied it to more than half the playlists and not left out Team Slayer…

343 didn’t make reach, they just made a few remake maps and an update or two.

Won’t get them involved in standard play with that thinking. Why add something that gives an advantage or disadvantage? Hitboxes is also one of the most brought up things when mentioning the inclusion of elites, so clearly people care.

Looking ahead, Halo 6 will probably feature the playable elites. The Act Man released a video about a month ago on Halo 6 predictions, and I think he and Renn’s Reviews were correct when they said that Halo 6 is 343i’s last chance to make a successful game. I believe 343i knows that, so they will probably do all that they can to stay alive. That probably means including elites, removing Spartan Charge, etc.

Even if it’s old, it’s still relevant to the forum. He contributed, so it’s perfectly fine, lol. I’m thinking 343 is hearing how badly fans want playable Elites. They announced the reintroduction of splitscreen, which (in my opinion) was requested just as much as playable Elites. I’m sure 343 will eventually give an acknowledgement of the famous feedback later down the road, probably when Halo 6 gets its first official announcement.

I loved how Reach did the Elite designs, but I would prefer a Halo 2: Anniversary style elite.

I did like how each different Elite class in Halo: Reach were noticeably different, not just by color, but also by armor type. This wasn’t noticeable in Halo: CE - Halo: 3, so a hybrid of the Halo: 2 Anniversary art style and the Reach extra armor would be amazing.

Of course we’d all prefer that art style, but we’re also taking Reach into consideration. My personal preference for playable Elites would go down like this, and brace yourself lmao: Of course, the Elites would have the H2A design, however they need bigger toes. Like, Reach style. Since they’re quite a bit bigger than Spartans, it would make sense that they have larger hitboxes, so simply increase health and speed to give is Elites a fair shake. The Elites need fair customization. When I say that, I mean they deserve the same range of customization options that the Spartans had in Reach instead of just changing out whole armor sets, so we’d be able to change out heads, shoulders, torsos, legs, and forearms. Playable Elites should OBVIOUSLY have their own unique assassinations, but I’m thinking they should get this one exclusive ability. Dual wielding energy swords. Elite fans like myself would lose their minds if we were to get that option. It wouldn’t increase damage, just the “fire rate”, so to speak. Last, but not least, though this is probably asking for the most lmao, let’s get some female Elites in here. We’ve only heard one in Halo 5, so let the female Elite lovers play as their gender, why not? :).

I agree. Elite model in halo 2 anniversary(Campaign only) would be perfect. FULL ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION. And please dont forget to include the Heretic Elites Armor, I mean dont even spare 1 kind of armor/helmet/gauntlet/boots/shoulder pads etc design bungie and 343 made. Personally i think 343 can even include the “Spade” helmet of the elites in Halo CE. But please dont make them too big like in H4 or H5. theyre size in H2A is perfect for PVP since theyre almost the same size as a spartan.

Yeah, the Elites weren’t too much taller than the Spartans, it was good. The funny thing is that I actually posted that a Heretic armor set would be dope in Halo 6 lmao.
