Wow, I’ve only just seen your post. Thanks so much, dude! I’ll be sure to read the comic.

Also I just want to say, good job lol. I cant even count how many contributions you’ve made to this thread!

Tbh I’ve only made like two as far as I know.

Also, people keep referencing that Elites are harder to hit from behind because of their hunched backs, but the “new” subspecies doesn’t hunch over during combat nearly as much as in Halo 3 or even Reach.

Size difference is too small in Reach to feel like your death happened because you are bigger, I never do that.

And I’m not an Elite fan, I only follow masters, the only reason I’m playing as an Elite is because they are closer to Grunts than any other character in the serie.

Well, I appreciate a Grunt that can appreciate their Elite. You make me proud. But anyway lmao, I’m thinking that if they bring on the Reach design, which accurately makes them bigger than the Spartans, they can just increase their speed and health and leave the shields the same.

I noticed that the Sangheili in Halo 2A multiplayer look like the Sangheili from Halo 4 and 5, and are just as tall. But they’re hunched over, which makes it “fair” in a hitbox sense. So, it’s totally possible, they would just need to carry that stuff over to Halo 6. Maybe some new armor though…

I see alot of people wanting the old Elite design back, from Halo 3 or 2A. What I think 343i is going to do, is thanks to extra funding by tournaments and Req packs, and the power of the Xbox One X, they’re going to incorporate both designs. Maybe. Just a thougt.

Also, I have a question. Why do so many people dislike the Halo 4 and 5 design? And don’t say it’s because they were too big, because the Reach elites were massive. I personally like the 4 and 5 Elites. They look big, powerful, and yet able to move quickly. I liked the Reach Elites, but they looked a little too beastly for my taste. I don’t like the Halo Wars 2 Elites because they’re very skinny and don’t look like they could take on a Spartan.

The problem with the h4 Elites is that they are too rough, bulky, crude, and vicious looking. For what 343 was going for, they nailed making the Elites bad guys.

However, we (or most of us) prefer the more slim, elegant, and well mannered ones.

Not to say the other is bad, but the slim ones fit more with what we like and respect.

Well said. The Elites looked waaaay too bulky in Halo 4 and 5. I don’t see the similarities between 4 & 5, and H2A. H2A provided slim Elites which had great height to them, they looked like they could actually move, and their faces didn’t look so awkward. H4/H5 provided bulky Elites that were actually pretty slow. They were rough and crude. The Reach Elites were big, of course, but they looked more realistic. They were slim and agile, which fits their character. All they really need in my opinion, is a H2A head and face, and the H2A skin texture. That would be fine. But these new Elites? No no no. They’re brolic and miss elegance. They sound so pissed off all the time. Hearing Arbiter’s elegance in his voice with this new brolic model didn’t match at aaaaall to me, like it was so awkward. If he at least had the design I presented, it would make more sense. In gameplay, the Elites in Reach were nice and agile, even during their assassinations. It just doesn’t fit seeing the H4/H5 Elites moving around so fluidly with those thick bodies.

Well I mean I’ve made a lot more than two posts on this thread the only two that I really think were contributions were the All Sangheili Combat Harnesses and Subspecies list and the Sangheili Combat Harnesses as REQs and Replacements for Spartan Abilities list.

Building upon this, what does everyone else think we can do to give Sangheili their own abilities?

I agree they weren’t bad at all but the reason i don’t prefer them is the position of a rough bulky vicious looking enemy from the covenant was already filled with the Brutes, Reach made elites big but also slender and scary.
But in all seriousness if the elites remain as they are, where will brutes fit into the enemy class system?

I know I’m beating a dead horse, but playable elites would be incredible in halo 6! But I don’t think it should be exactly like reach. Maybe a Warzone hybrid with it?
Also firefight could Ben incorporated, like in the reach customs firefight.

I think some sort of lunge ability would be really cool, like some sort of pounce with energy swords.

I think all the abilities should stay the same. It’s not like Sangheili can’t use thruster packs, they do have Rangers.

Nah it’s alright, lol. And when we bring up Reach, it’s not necessarily the game modes we mean, we’re discussing the preferable design for Elites in the next installment. As far as the Reach firefight, I would love that in Halo 6.

Yeah there’s Rangers, however it would be a little awkward to see an Elite Minor or even an Elite Honor Guard use the thruster ability.

Yeah, that would be weird. But, there is that evade which would fit. And it would be cool to see a lunge ability.
