I’m not trying to play, I’m just trying to fight off a troll.

There should be no trolling here. This is a gathering place for members of the elite community and its supporters to express their thoughts about elites in halo 4. If you are going to post something off topic, please leave.

“Elite Players” are furries who haven’t realized it yet and do not deserve said, ahem, “rights”.

>

You sir have no right to make such a baseless accussation against other people of this forum. In this statement you are nothing but revealing yourself as a troll, and generally speaking, with your logic you desrve no rights. This is the gathering place of the elite community to discuss speculation on the elites for halo 4. If you are not here to discuss, merely to insult, please leave.

You, noble troll, have done the Elite community a great service.
Thank you for the bump.

I believe the moderators took care of him, Silent. On a more relevant note I would like to add how flexible the relationship between the elites and humans are makes them perfect for fitting into this new canonical matchmaking explanation. It would not be difficult for 343i to weave them into their stories, which I am a huge fan of.

Proof of elites in halo 4?

If this is indeed proof elites in halo 4, i think it stands to reason that they may be playable in multiplayer.

I’m game for anything as long as the elites are in it, and get full recognition.

WE NEED THEM, NAO.

That is photoshopped, comrade. That elite is the concept art from Halo Wars.

I love Humans.

So because i am not outright supporting your notion and contesting it I am a “Troll”? Sorry for abjecting you and actually knowing what i am talking about. I love the elites, was in an elite clan (Actually fought you before and your clan) yet there is no logical reason for them to be in.

It is selfish to compromise the integrity of the lore so the minority can play as a character model for a decade or so.

For sure, I’m all for it. I doubt people will complain, because it’s all just a choice on what your character could possibly be. Unless there is some Gung-Ho Spartan supremacists that can’t stand The Sangheili for some reason, it would be a welcome addition. I would also agree upon further customization w/ the Elites as well.

  1. My Clan??
  2. Spartans are cool, I guess. Elites have always been my choice, and there is no reason why humans and elites cannot coexist as they did in halo 3.

“Compromise the integrity of the lore” is a strong phrase to use when your argument is “prove to me the extent of something.” There is no reason Sangheili cannot be incorporated into Matchmaking. It’s been done since Halo 2. It should not stop with the new trilogy.

In my opinion, putting the Sangheili back into halo would only serve to enrich the story. Although we are starting to learn more and more about them, there is so much more of that story to be told, and I believe that that horizon is expanding with the new canon that is coming out. Elites are playing a bigger role in the books now than they have in the past. So why just drop this maturing portion of the universe off a cliff, so to speak?

Are you kidding me? this is why i say you don’t know what you are talking about.

They were in MP in Halo 2 because we were fighting them and the community wanted them in MP. There is an extremely high chance we won’t be fighting them in the reclaimer trilogy, They probably won’t be in the story, SIVs and MARK VII are stronger than the average elite, and not to mention why should they be?

Elite clans pretty much died in reach not to mention Elites never got the respect they deserved. They were never given a good amount of armor nor could you even customize them in reach.

Yes i understand that was bungie, but would you really risk them being put in (If they some how could that made sense) and then look at how dull your elite looks compared to a flashy spartan? Not to mention right now would have been a perfect time to throw an elite in the background of a video if not outright show them; yet they didn’t instead frankie says they now have a reason for why blue spartans fight red ones.

If they could put Elites in MP that made sense and was respectful then sure. But as of right now there is not canonical support or reasoning for them to be in. Not to mention it is going to get old always playing as an elite.

which makes me ask why are the elite players so special? what about those that want ot play as brutes or grunts? who are you to say "It isn’t halo with elites in MP (which is completely false and stupid) Yet there are other groups that haven’t been satisfied for a decade yet they are still hardcore halo fans.

which is why i am calling you and this entire community selfish for whining and saying your done if you don’t get your way. Be glad you actually got what you wanted and had so for a decent amount of time as that rarely happens.

*Thal, thank you for being reasonable. while they have a role in the books it is only the post war series which isn’t directly tied to halo 4 and the reclaimer trilogy like the forerunner saga is.

I wish Traviss would release the next Post-War novel. I am interested to find out if the Human-Sangheili relationship prevails.

I am off, fellows, for i have been deprived of my sleep. Do not ask why, but why not? What should stop us from putting the elites in MM? There was a way in halo 3, though the elites and humans were alied, there should be a way here. I may post a petition in the morning, adressed to 343. I will be asking all elite followers and fans to comment in show of support of the elites. If not i will be back on this thread by noon (my time) tomorrow.

May this thread live that long.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the entire theme of the covenant and the elites specifically is about religious dogma and not to become blinded by ignorance; yet the “Die hard elite fans” are doing exactly what the game is trying to tell you not to do.

Astonishing.

Rolls up sleeves

I’ll stop you right there. 343i stated they are tying together all of the canon. If they wanted to drop elites to the wayside why would they make them such an important factor in Halo: Glasslands? Undoubtedly elites will play a major role in the future.

> Elite clans pretty much died in reach not to mention Elites never got the respect they deserved. They were never given a good amount of armor nor could you even customize them in reach.

Now this is exactly opposite of the truth. I have seen more elite clans nowadays than ever before. I used to know every member of the sangheili community, and if not personally at least heard of them. Now they are beyond measure, growing exponentially. Some like Reach’s way of dealing with Sangheili armor because it keeps them canonically in uniform. I would have to agree.

This was the first major chunk of information we have found out about Halo 4. I am posting this thread as a precaution to 343i to not forget us. They may have already made plans for a Sangheili model, we do not know. We didn’t see Elites in Halo 3 during the first few ViDocs, yet they made it into Multiplayer.

Refer to the first time I broke down this horrid post.

How could you possibly say the post war series isn’t tied to Halo 4? UNSC Infinity? Spartan IVs? What are you thinking?
