Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> Bungie loved sandbox.
> 343 loved multiplayer.

Also that doesn’t make very much sense to me, considering the fact that 343’s sandboxes are 1,000% better than Bungie’s.

Holy Doarmir! I was looking at the halo wars 2 beta menu that has the hunters, blisterback, and honor guard and when I looked closely at the honor guard I realized that 343 actually used the h4/5 model for the honor guard. This makes me really excited because 343 already used both types of grunts and before I thought they were only using the h2a model for the in game elites but this revelation with both elite models being in the game has made me really excited for the future of halos artstyle! If you want proof, get the menu screen with the honor guard on it and look closely at the gap of the helmet showing the mouth, the sides of the helmet have the “ugly” mandibles exposed, also take note how the arms have no undersuit, the hands are more boney, and look at the feet aswell.

Exactly! And thinking about it just annoys me because it makes me believe that these Fantastic new phenotypes were made purely for budget, without reason, except to have something for them to kill, not only that but for Chief too! Look at that cutscene where the 4 blast the glass open from space, jump in, and have Gravity boost, JUST WATCH HOW THEY REACT! Its so annoying and can I ask why they were there in the first place if they weren’t going to have some sort of gravity boot technology IN SPACE? I don’t know man, these portrayals really did make the world look like Locke was the king, because the Storm Covenant literally died along with Jul M’dama who should’ve escaped the first mission, and was a priority along with Locke and his team to find Chief, and than! When the Arbiter is allied with, and they assault Sunaion with the last remaining forces, AND their supreme leader hiding behind the walls…
The Arbiter climbed up that different root, remember? We didn’t get to follow him, and instead of the cutscene that we get at the end of that final promethean battle at the END of the level, Locke and his team arrive there, and Jul’s elites come close but fall to Locke’s quick Spartan training (No, I don’t mean just show the part where the Elite is a -Yoink- and lets himself be open for an easy knock off a cliff), and than… The Spartan’s stare down Jul M’dama, and just before they sprint…
“Stop… this is my duel” the Arbiter walks passed Locke as he watches him slowly walked towards Jul, before stopping, and drawing his sword.
You can figure out the rest…
That’s how I would’ve done it, it wasn’t my Idea, but when I heard it from my buddy, I couldn’t stop thinking about it!

Yeayeah! I wanna be part of the Storm covenant, and than maybe one day, the Swords, a-a-a-and basically what I am saying is a I want an Armour customization that allows you to choose selective pieces of armour from different sets on to your Spart-I mean Elite! But that’s a topic for another forum which is, for some reason, dead and never coming back according to the forum administrators!
Oh! Also! To add to the faction idea! Can we have, well first, the allowance to have your emblem on your armour, no matter how covenant or UNSC, believe me, there has to be an Elite out there who’s a hippy! haha!
AAAAND allow Armour to have different decals and symbols wherever you want! Now I know that would take a good bit out of 343’s income because they are not earning money off people buying REQ PACKS! But come on! You could have symbols from Classic Covenant, Storm Covenant, Swords of Sanghellios, Covenant that we’ve never seen before, BAAAAAANISHED! Bud the options are endless!

Thats definitely the way i wanted to see things take place, or something like it. Arbiter should have dueled Jul. Yet another reason to get a better story writer. They really need to show the Sangheili as the elite warriors they are, not incompetent fools. As for the phenotype, I like all of them. However, the Reach and halo 2 Anniversary are my favorites.

I would use the one with the tooth spike sticking out of the front of there mandibles.

I really hope they have they have the elite styled armor from halo wars 2, they look soooooo good

It will be nice for Spartans to train with Arbiter’s Sword Elites. With all the new overabundance Spartan customizations, new elite customization would be a good refresher.

In a few months this thread will be reaching its five year anniversary… 5 Years! It has stayed a relevant and controversial topic for just about half a decade and almost all of 343s time as main developer of the franchise. While the Sangheili personally don’t bother me, I feel like the must return in a future title, if not Halo 6. This 5 year old, and 795 page, commented on approx 15,900 thread is evidence enough that there is a massive unacknowledged demand that must satisfied!

Never seen that one before man! That’s why I support the safe solution, include them all! It’s people like you who I have the utmost respect for eh!

I’m still holding onto Elites coming back. I’m hoping they will return, and the fans who loved playing as elites can be happy again. To some of the people complaining about hit boxes, idc. It’s my way of playing the game. If I wanna play as a large Sangheili, I wanna play as one.

Its up and runnin man And I don’t think it’s leaving for a while son! Even after Playable Elites are a thing, people’ll still come back here whether in celebration, or future improvement! You know I’d like to thank every single one of you for posting along with everyone else to help make this demand known! And especially for the sake of us Elite fans who just want to be able to engage as our personally and badassly favourite Sanghelli warriors for the rest of the Halo series. I really feel that 343 knows of this gigantic request, and are working on it for future installments, all because of us!
A toast to us brothers!
On the blood of our fathers!
For the Swords of Sanghelios!
And for all others, we are Victorious! (Not yet I know, but if reaching 795 pages ain’t a milestone I don’t know what is!)
A big thanks to everyone!

That’s most of the arguments eh! But I don’t want to leave competitive players out of the equation! Vote for the safe solution with me! Bring back both of the phenotypes for balance in competitive and casual!

So you didnt play, your opinion is invalid.

This comment messed up, cause Waypoint wouldn’t let me redo the post right :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, imma try this again, because Waypoint decided to go full retard on me. If you or anyone at 343 had any common sense, Halo Reach didn’t allow Elites in Multiplayer. Except for Invasion, and Elite Slayer. So that there can keep the try hard no life competitive kids happy. That good enough for yuh.

OK, for anyone who comments, and is like, oh this will hurt competitive players or whatever. No, it won’t. Having playable elites won’t hurt any of that.

If you had any common sense or played Halo Reach, you would understand how elites can be their own thing, away from the competitive community.

Invasion, and Elite Slayer. Halo reach didn’t let players default to an Elite in normal modes, you were a Spartan. Unless Elite Slayer was on, or you were on Blue team in Invasion. For a future game, they could be playable in Warzone. Cause that’s supposed to be, I guess a, Social playlist.

That way Competitive people can have their fun without the burden of Elites or whatever people say about them.

(And I assume they can be added into Halo 5. Shouldn’t be hard considering they keep adding in new scripts here and there changing some parts of the Sandbox.)

This Thread has been on waypoint since I have, and 343 have directly acknowledged me with a LOL badge, a top E3 commenter badge as well as replying to me in some Q&As in that time.
If they can recognize me (a singular insignificant member of the community) they can see this massive 796 page thread and are fully aware of the problem. Ske7ch has probably seen this dozens of times in his short time as manager so far.
