Maybe they “confiscated” some infusions from their grunt underlings, and got thoroughly stoned prior to that fateful scuffle. That would explain their less than impressive reflexes.

Anyway, I do think the solutions we have will work will for everyone, besides if we have Eltie sin everything but the MLG/Arena playlists, I think it will be a win/win

Besides, Comp players will spend 24/7 on the MLG/Arena playlists anyway.

By Arena I assume you mean Ranked Arena Playlists. It’s perfectly fine if they’re in Social Arena Playlists.

one thing that is also lore breaking, is that they couldn’t soak up damage.
it took one light rifle shot to the back of the head to kill one of the elites and he had full shields you even see them pop.
I have no idea what 343 was doing with that scene.

Maybe they meant for it to be Binary Rifle.

That is correct. Sorry if I was a little vague

You see THAT was what really ticked me off about it, but a buddy o mine recently actually changed my mind on that, in that this “Storm Covenant” doesn’t hold the elites that we had before, that were trained to fight humans and were skilled at it, like in Reach and Halo Wars (UGH! best portrayals in my opinion).
It gives a reason for their dumb way of acting in those cutscenes, but that’s not gonna stop me from wondering whether they did that on purpose, to cater to that lore reason, or just to make Lock and his team look that good, which if that’s the case, than I’m gonna hate this story’s writing a lot more than I already have!
Overall, I really hate the way they did it, and it’s probably true, but I don’t like to see these idiots be a visual representation of the new Elites that I’ve grown to love the design of!

I have not noticed that before. Maybe it wasn’t standard grade shielding since alot of Jul’s tech he owned was cheap and old.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a pocket of Covenant Imperials who never heard the news that the war has been over for 7 years, still thinking the Humans are they’re enemy. They could meet a surviving faction of Storm Covenant, then the Swords of Sangheilios could find these two fighting, THEN the Banished and it’s Sangheili could show up, and finally EVERYTHING will go to heck and it’s a 4-way skirmish and it’s all chaos!!! It is madness!!!

But one could only dream…

I agree, I miss elites in multiplayer ,elites vs spartans machinimas and INVASION

Nearly Jul’s entire faction was composed of a world of Covenant-bound Sangheili that had no idea the war had ended.

No, they knew the war had ended, the Storm Covenant and Swords of Sanghelios split was based off of individualized views on working with humanity as well as religion.

I’m saying that before he came across Hesduros, they had no idea the war ended because they had been out of contact with the Covenant for around two years. Don’t believe me, look it up.

And while I know that it’s probably the less likely to happen to see 3’s and Reach’s implementation molded together, It’s nice to think about it. I don’t however, want leave MLG’s out of the equation! Elites should be balanced, but I can’t stress enough How both of the sides are equally important! The safe solution man!

Agreed

I agree, but lack of training dosen’t mean there is no common sense. All elites are tought to fight at a young age, so they should have put up a fight. I think they where trying to make Locks team look good.

Bungie loved sandbox.
343 loved multiplayer.

That’s an intresting thought.

If we where playing as Elites in Halo 5 or 6 we where likely apart of the Arbiter’s faction. Not the storm ones.

As long as you could change your armor + armor colors, you can make yourself a part of any faction.
