I got hocked to the franchise because of halo 2, that one time you got to play solo as an elite in the campaign. I have read all the books and graphic novels and played all the games because of my interest in the elites. I also happen to have a deep personal connection to halo because of them. As I explored the culture created for them, I found out about their sense of honor ( I have a honor code of my own that I stick to rigorously.) and that the males grow up without knowing their fathers, yet managed to go through life and be successful ( not all of cores). I grew up without my father and if it weren’t ironic enough all ready, the people who I looked up to in his place where mostly military (Most adult male elites have done military service). THE ELITES CULTUR AND WHO THEY ARE, IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT SHOWED ME I COULD MAKE IT THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT MY FATHER AND WHO TO LOOK UP TO FOR GIDENCE. So, believe me when I say that for some they are a defining feature of the game.

That was the original arguement, and I only brought it up due to “it’d make it different than CoD” when (while true vs CoD) it still Doesn’t separate halo from other games in the end in terms of playable non human characters.

And besides, it allows me to express myself in that manner should I have the choice, I personally thought Reach was a spectacular game for the reason that, on top of all it’s achievements, playable elites stood out up there. Just the fact that they added them makes me very happy and that’s what leads me into the secondary but probably the biggest that I’ve probably said already.
> > I would have faith in 343 industries for the rest of their Halo, if they would connect to our wants as a small portion of the community that yearns for playing as Elites. Many people find it confusing why I say this, but I feel obligated to say that adding them is an answer to if they are really listening. I’ve said before that they’ve shown it already coming this 10th update, and it is good, but Playable elites, an incredibly powerful and special allocating of resources, for the sole purpose of those who have lost touch with playing their Halo. If 343 brought them back, they’d be sealing another customer for any of their future “real” and paid dlc.
> > 343 if you are reading this I say look at this thread for a perfect example of the community’s yearning, Elites are more special than you think! Please!

> You know, I’ve seen so many people complain about how we’ve had less customization options in Halo 5, narrowing it down to body, helmet and visor. At the same time, every now and then we have someone who asks “why do you guys want playable Elites so badly?” The same reason why people want more armor customization.
I have to agree with him on that ^^^
