I know they did in a picture, I don’t have a link however. if I find it I’ll let you know.

Edit: Found it.

I would be genuinely startled if playable elites didn’t return in Halo 6, people have made it abundantly clear that they want to see it return. So to deny it to people is really a smack in the face, 343 is not really amazing at taking input from fans, but I feel that they really need to listen at this point, and they realize this.

I agree, if they were to at least bring up the issue then I would have some hope.

I miss the old Sangheili phenotype from halo 3 and Reach, if they were to add back in playable elites I’d be happy, but to add playable elites in the old phenotype, that would re-vitalize the Halo franchise for me.

It actually quite upsets me that playable elites have been blown off for so long, I have not been here since Halo 4, because I was not active on waypoint yet. But I was silently upset with nowhere to let anyone know. When you could play as Sangheili there was this RP aspect, the Sangheili were, and still are sort of cryptic and interesting. Thinking about all the lore while playing was amazing, and for me I don’t seem to feel the same thing for Spartans, even though I do know the lore. Halo machinimas saw a drop off following the removal of Sangheili as playable. I just can’t really put it into efficient words why I like the Sangheili so much, it’s just such a good feeling to play as one. Dun’t kno.

I think their ranks are one of the coolest aspects to them. Of course their ranks vary from faction to faction but they are all very colorful and visually pleasing to look at.

The ranks are very cool, there are far fewer ranks than there are in the UNSC, but each rank is much harder to obtain. The decorative and ornate armor of some of the Sangheili are fantastic, that’s why I love the Sangheili from Halo 3 so much, the standard combat armor for Sangheili in that game is not too flashy, but still generally decorative, at least for the helmet. But the Sangheili honor guards and the council members, have extraordinarily flashy and ornate armor. It really is fantastic.

I wouldn’t go right out and say there are fewer ranks than in the UNSC. There are likely many that have not been revealed to the community and you’ll find likely quite a few more if you do a bit of research around the web.

Since were talking about ranks and all itd make sence that SoS has diffrent ranking than that of the covenant. Since sangheili had a culture to their own before the covenant, and Arbiter is trying to recover that aspect of his culture, maybe they’d revert to more classical roles.

Just a thought. Id really would have prefered that Swords ghost, banshee, wraith, and phantoms had been green. Btw

also with the community there are ranks that the community uses that are not canon like Major veteran Minor veteran ETC that is what makes Sangheili ranks cool because most of the time in Sangheili clans you can just add in you’re own ranks at you’re own discretion.

I don’t like when clans make up ranks, but I guess I’m okay if they base it off of something. Such is this the case with the Major Veteran and Minor Veteran examples you use. We already know for a fact that there is more than one Minor and Major rank, we just don’t quite know what they’re called.

I would like to see elites come back, even if multiplayer is filled all of gametypes for Spartans no matter what.

What was the last developer comment in this thread? Anyone remember?

I hope we get some sort of confirmation that Elites are playable in Halo 6 soon.

ya and that is what im getting at some ranks we know are real and canon and have subdivisions of that rank we just do not know there rank is called that is what makes Sanheili so unique.

I think it was that they know Elites are wanted and there are some among the 343 team who want them back to.

Time constraints is what made it difficult for them to be added in Halo 5. But nothing on Halo 6 yet.

Well they know we wanted them in h4 and h5. Youd think theyd try to implement the single most requested thing on their own site. Its not even something that wouldn be ridiculous in asking for. They already have to make the elite models.

So just to setter up some discussion what types of Sangheili body type should if added in to Halo 5 or Halo 6 when its out should they use answer below.

A. Any and all Halo 2 Sangheili

B.Any and all Halo 3 Sangheili

C.Any and all Halo Reach Sangheili

D.Any and all Halo 4/5 Sangheili

E.Any and all Sangheili in the Halo chronology

Also for fun list you’re favorite Armour type that you would want back in the game

I would say B, because I never heard any complaints about the Elites in Halo 2. and besides, we cna make the elites faster to compensate for their height.
