This would be an amazing idea, it would make halo 6 take more time to develop, but I think it would be worth it. But like you said the elites would need a lot of armor choices because that’s the only way it would properly work maybe not as much as the Spartans but who cares. It needs to be better than the reach elites and the H3 elites though.
I also believe this is more probable after the Arbiter being in H5 I think he might play more of a role in H6 because it is not just the humans existance on the line.

Go on twitter and search through “GrimBrotherOne”(Jeff Easterling) posts. Its been awhile and I’m not about to search through a couples months worth of posts. Either way, its not as simple as them just acknowledging it(which they did), a lot more goes into it.
I don’t know why (I suppose I just got used to it over time), but I miss those Elite guys that got on my nerves with their questionable stance that screwed up the hitbox on a visual level. I thought Reach was a step in the right direction with invasion and Covy Slayer.
What urks me most are the new campaigns. I actually liked Halo 2’s Arbiter missions a lot. The Arbiter was an Elite and everyone hated that. But he was a damn good character. Once you introduce a deep character like the Arbiter, who is so well thought out, there really is no turning back from that. Once established, taking him away as a playable character, who is so integral to the story now, is a tragedy.

How are we going to react if playable elites come back? Are we going to express excitement towards 343’s decision to keep it from us this long?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be happy, but I just don’t know if I’ll be praiseing them for it like it’s a gift to me. But then that begs the question, are we intitled to expect it in a game?
Also, how would you guys react if when they do add it, people bullied us for playing them? I say screw those people, but what do you guys think?

Well, i’d say thanks and thats it. My demeaning of them for not having it in the game will stop but I don’t see myself becoming a fanboy over it.
Also, about the people who hate on elites. I personally don’t find it a big deal, especially with how big the elite community will be as we can easily play with each other or those who don’t mind. Are worlds don’t really have to collide so I don’t really care.

Shooting aliens is my thing. Human vs human break the immersion of Halo. That’s why I only play Warzone firefight or Warzone
I really couldn’t care less if the Sangheli (How in the Mars* do you spell that?) made a surprise cameo in multiplayer. Even when the Elites are in multiplayer there’s never enough Elite armor, or it’s just a mear single set of armor.

Also, in terms of the armour it’s more quality vs quantity
