Mods to the main game, not a free to download community spin off, so its ok…I think.

I think that was a joke
I used to get wailed on for playing as an elite in H2A, but did I care? nah. It doesn’t matter to me how large my character model is, I just wanna be able to play as an elite. And hey, isn’t the UNSC allied with the Swords of Sanghelios? If 343i want to keep multiplayer cannon they could always throw some elites into the simulation right?
I personally liked having the choice to be an elite available. While I barely played as one, I still liked unlocking the various armor for it.

Seriously, why have they not even addressed playable elites after this long? There’s really no arguments against playable elites. The only one I can kinda think of is “their hotboxes are different and stuff and it’s unbalanced and stuff.” However, you can make them available in social playlists and not ranked ones.

It’s gonna make sooo much salt if they don’t have playable elites in H6
Can someone explain to me, in a non shouty way, why this is so important to people? To me it’s similar to the “lack of customization” complaints that I also don’t quite understand. It seems to me that the gameplay is what’s really important for matchmaking and the rest is just fluff, but there is clearly a lot of passion (and occasionally angry shouting) about this.
Im not trying to be inflammatory, just genuinely curious.
