Teeeeeeechnically she didn’t “die”, considering that she was never “alive” in the first place.

And I thought the twist was pretty great. They took a beloved character and made her into an antagonist that nobody really expected. Not to mention she’s sorta a clone of Halsey, which means she has the tendency to do terrible things for what she personally considers the greater good. It makes total sense that she would assume control of the Mantle and try to control everybody. Kinda like the Reapers, but with less… death. Somewhat less.

She’s a perfect antagonist because she’ll bring everybody together in order to defeat her, and it gives it so much more emotion than just introducing some new, random enemy. Personally, I really like it. Kinda wished Cortana and Jul joined up, though. Would have tied things together better and Jul wouldn’t have died in such a lame way.
