My gold ran out last night, had to use the Halo 5 xbox live code just to get on and forge, which literally is 97% of my time on Halo 5, with the other 3% being customs.

I don’t agree with that, I would rather have playable elites in everything including ranked playlists, why would you add a new feature but prohibit it in some playlists, it won’t be fair for all the players, I know being an elite is being a bigger and easier target, but is people’s choice if they want to play that way, they have to consider those things and deal with them if they want to, but don’t prohibit them that feature in some playlists, is like when someone decides to use or not the fotus helmet even though it makes your head more visible, it’s their choice, I wont think many people would be happy if the fotus helmet was not available for ranked playlists, the same with playable elites.

It’s a matter of balance is all. Why add the Nornfang to everything but keep it out of ranked? Have you played Halo 2, trying to headshot an elite from behind was a pain in the -Yoink-, but as soon as they turned to the side, game over. Also all helmets in Halo 5 have the same hitbox, just saying.

but playable elites is nothing than a character customization option, something the player should have 100% control, it may affect in some way, but doesn’t affect a huuge way like loadouts do.
not Halo 2 but I have played Halo 3, and yes it happened to me, but that was kind of balanced too, because once you start shooting the player from the back most of the time they turn to shoot you (unless they are far enough to scape or cover) and once they turn you had advantage again, as well as considering the weapons in Halo 5 are much stronger it could be a way to balance it without removing playable elites from ranked.
anyway that doesn’t mean the huge horn in fotus helmet makes you less visible just because the hitbox is the same as the others.but that’s just my point of view, I just think there’s a way to implement playable elites in everything including ranked playlists, than just removing them because they wouldn’t fit way they did in past games.
I trust 343 not to make the same mistake of excluding playable elites a 3rd time, but at the same time I won’t get my hopes up for Halo 6, just to protect myself from disappointment.

I would but the 30fps I just can’t anymore. If I could get matches in mcc I would.

I still play H3 on my 360 since elites were in all game modes… too bad my gold expired last week…

Shadow and revenant?
I wouldn’t want the concussion rifle, it was meh in reach and was trash in halo 4.

The Concussion Rifle is mostly a reskined Halo 3 Brute Shot, the explosion sound is the same like ‘explode on impact’ projectiles and the 6 shots magazine.

Well for me this would be a win/win. Elites get to enjoy the game and have a lot of fun in it. Most of the people who worry about balance will spend every single day on ranked playlists and nothing else anyway. Personally I’m okay having elite sine everything but the ranked playlists. Unless it requires unlocking an armor piece, I never really go on rank anyway.
Funny thing is I never had trouble shooting another Elite in the back of the head in swat. It think the posture was fooling the eye of were the head was.

Some guy on reddit wants people to come back on to relive Reach on the 14th of september, and you better believe I’ll be there dropping some Sangheili nuts in returning player faces.

Yeah, if they keep a similar sandbox and game play style to Halo 5 then we should see some kind of playable faction as they won’t have to rebuild like they did with Halo 5.
