Additionally 343i art department have a lot to answer for with their incredibly specist depiction of the graceful elegent Sangheili as little more than lumbering scab skinned brutes with mutilated jaws.

Welcome to the fight brother!
I don’t like that Elite looking armor because it’s still a Spartan armor, everyone here should dislike this.

It was made by an elite so she could test her skills against the best Spartans in the best spartan suit possible.

well, there is some lore that states Spartans & Swords of Sanghelios participate in war game simulations against shared threats. It’s called the ANVIL Initiative, and I BELIEVE that in a Universe update it’s stated that the UNSC REQ weapons and Warthogs that have Sangheili tech were developed under this initiative. And I think that it’s also stated they’re standard issue for the Spartan Companies stationed on Sanghelios to help the Swords with security.

This is true.
So, rumors have been said, even if the monitors don’t know, elites will be added into Halo 5. I hope so, along with hundreds or thousands of other people hope so as well. I’m hoping the next update has them, but if they don’t I’ll just keep spamming this til whenever.
Elites are needed in Halo, and 343 needs to stop focusing on this competitive crap. Idc bout being competitive except sometimes it’s fun. I like the social games I used to have and at as an 7 to 8 ft alien. But those days were over after 343 got this game. 343, bring them back. They’ve been here seen Halo 2, put them back in multiplayer. For Christ sake…
(Also, the new concept for the new arena Map looks like it’s a Sangheili related map. Why add more Covenant stuff if there aren’t elites here. Add them in, don’t just add in their Homeworld.)

It especially pisses me off that they ignore the very lore they create for the canon matchmaking

I agree but we are not small we are the hardcore elite community on the forums but there are thousands of other people who played as elites back in halo 2 3 and reach and MCC even if it launched broken I see a fair amount of sangheli running around and there are the other fans who left after 343 make some changes cough cough getting rid of playable elites cough cough getting rid of split screen cough cough making this -Yoink- art style (343 I’m sorry but the halo 4 and 5 art style are terrible bring back halos art style please) cough cough sprint cough cough

That doesn’t necessarily make them closer to being “Dino’s”.

I’m hoping not to kick a hornet’s nest by dropping alien racial slurs, but “Dino” is just a nickname. Others include “Alligators”, “Split-chin”, and “Hinge-head” (Gee, thanks Kilo-5).If biology were a factor in these nicknames then the Kig-Yar should not be called jackals (a mammal, not a repto-bird, raptor). Humans love their pet names, but don’t usually consider basic biology in the naming process.

Nicknames have to at least make sense. There has to be some sort of relevance in that naming process. By your logic, I could even just nickname the Sangheili “Sharks”. And you’re right, Kig-Yar shouldn’t be called Jackals. It’s kind of ignorant and irrational.

This is entirely true that the humans have Nick names to certain species… for us it’s, gator, Dino, split jaw, split chin, and hinge head.
I know they call the jiralhanae apes, and the drones buggers, but I don’t know any of the other Nick names.

Considering those names were all meant to be derogatory, no there typically isn’t much thought put in to the actual meaning. The point isn’t to make a logical statement about their appearance.

Well if it’s meant to demean them then why call them that right in front of so many dedicated fans hoping to get Sangheili back in the games? That’s what’s bothering me.

Well let’s be honest Sangheili have their own Nick names for humans.
