They thought about removing sprint and polled a group to see what the outcome was, just because they decided not to remove sprint does not mean they’re not taking it into consideration. They’ve even acknowledged an attempt to add elites in h6, that is the very definition of taking it into consideration. Just because they don’t do something does not mean they never considered it. They’ve also taken A.I. In forge into consideration but can’t do it. If you people go with the assumption that 343 don’t take our wants into consideration I’ll gladly give you a list of every community want/need for every game out there that has yet to happen, and then I’ll say they ignore their fans even tho it isn’t true. Giving consideration is the simple thought of thinking something over, polling people is obviously doing that. It does not require one to meet the goal, but rather just think it over. What you’re really saying is 343 doesn’t always do what the community wants, as that is more credible than saying they don’t take things into consideration.

Them’s fighten words… :fist::stuck_out_tongue::-1:

Hey I’ve been wondering for a while now, and though this may not be completely related to this thread I think this might be the best place to ask…Do Sangheili make facial expressions? and if they can, how? The reason I ask is because I recently read the cole protocol, and in the book it had a few instances in which it referred to an elites expression at the time. This got me thinking about how they would form such expressions, the only one I know they can make is the rage expression.

They do form expressions… the obvious answer being the eyes. But in the books they move and sometimes even click their mandibles as their form of expressions.

Looking at Thel in the Halo 2 anniversiary I say yes…

I would say in the final standoff when he asks Guilty Spark what are the Halo Rings, he looks quite broken and sad to me. Then again I am distinctly looking at the eyes, as I cannot tell from much else of his face in that scene. However story telling to show emotion is done heavily through the eyes.

I never thought to look at the eyes, I guess it’s time to go do a playthrough of 2 and 3.

I wouldn’t advise Halo 3, as even though story telling is done through the eyes. Thel’s eyes nor much of anyone else’s had any emotion within them. This was probably due to lack of computer technology at the time.

There were a few points in 3 you could see the Arbiter smile actually, its interesting to say the least.

In the end he gets out of the crashed dawn, you can see an odd elite smile from him. There are a few more times, but they escape me at the moment.

in Halo 2 Anniversary’s cutscenes the elites (more visible in the Arbiter and R’tas Vadum) actually make many facial expressions, like surprise, sadness, anger/rage, pain etc. and a sarcastic smile from R’tas Vadum when the arbiter says “that makes two of us”.

They are just like Dino’s. They were originally supposed to have a tail on CE but it was removed.

All for the sake of them not being able to sit down properly… lol

I always felt that original Halo 2 did the best job of displaying body language(not necessarily facial expressions) with the Elites. I suppose that’s because it was the only Halo game where one of the main protagonists/playable characters was an Elite which meant they had much more of a focus as well as screen time during cutscenes.

I’m sure Halo 2 Anniversary did good as well, but I have simply played a whole lot more of the original and had the chance to notice these things with it.

That vid nailed down everything we as players wanted, and more.

Hi, just wanted to voice my support for playable Elites and fighting against 343i’s blatant specist policies. Additionally 343i art department have a lot to answer for with their incredibly specist depiction of the graceful elegent Sangheili as little more than lumbering scab skinned brutes with mutilated jaws.

Jokes aside lets all keep shouting for our voices to be heard by 343 and overcome the arrogance blocking their ears. Wort Wort Wort.
Helioskril the armor of the protestor. Fight Specism and incompetence. For Playable elites.
