Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

ground pound is the only thing that stops the possibility of elites being in Halo 6, there are just 2 options, remove it, or start to think how could it be balanced.

Don’t forget about stabilizers too!

Yes.

and also yes. We need to discuss these and see if we can figure how it’d work.

There is already the thruster pack you can see on Rangers in Halo 2 but that would be better without, they are too big.

Or they can forgot about those two, ground pound isn’t very important and don’t look cool for me and why they added a such ability to rest mid air for a second is beyond me, useful but not important.

Well let’s rangers have thrusters. Why not take those thrusters and fit it to all combat harnesses.

well once we figured how It could work, we need to talk about which design for the elites they should use, for me the Halo 2 anniversary/Halo Wars 2 design fits much better for MP than Halo 4/5 design, not only in asthetics, but also in balancing terms, considering that the Halo 4/5 design is much bigger is an easier target.

The halo 3 design fits well since they were relatively the same size as the Spartans.

On a Canonical level all Sangheili should be bigger than Spartans by default. Plus I enjoy the fact that they are larger than Spartans, gives me the sense that I’m actually not playing as something which was once human. Of course balancing comes into play as well as how they can manage this. Which having them the same size could work, but it wouldn’t make sense for some Sangheili to be the same size, while others particularly the AI being much bigger.

True. Plus it makes it more of a challenge which makes it fun playing an elite.

Yeah, i doubt they have missed it, it’s been going strong for years. It won’t be disappearing anytime soon either.

Well If you read the first post they clearly know about this thread.

343 keeps shoving the whole swords of sanghelios/ UNSC alliance technology share thingy so they can use that to explain why the elites have spartian like abilities

Yes seeing as it’s a canon matchmaking and that is clearly canon.

Ay we got this back to popular topics again, where it rightfully belongs. We’re at 485 votes as well.

I wonder if Warzone Assault might be overhauled in the future to make it more like Invasion from Halo Reach. That way we can have the Sangheli in matchmaking.

It’s not like ground pound adds anything to the gameplay. Lol. Things like hovering and ground pound actually cheapen the gameplay anyways.

If these theoretical Elites had thrust, then they’d have ground pound. But ground pound should just be removed. It’s just another ability that cheapens the experience. Sprint makes the game overall slower, but faster in short bursts and in the worst ways.

Then it doesn’t work because Invasion follow asymmetrical balancing and REQs ruin the whole tier system.

But maps and teams… that would be perfect, I see those fireteams, 2, 3 or 4.

A Sangheili game mode such as that would be a welcome sight to see. Personally I never enjoyed Invasion all that much, but I wouldn’t say I would be disappointed seeing a new rendition of it all.

True 343 could add there own little flair to it. They could also use the normal Warzone maps for it. As well as the assault maps.
