I do wish they would explore his character more in the future… If he has PTSD as well… If any of the elites do… Thel happens to be responsible for the death of millions, to billions of human lives, and yet he seems like a good soul. If the Sangheili race has regretful emotions, I’d imagine Thel would have a very difficult time sleeping at night. If this burden was pushed on a human, they would be extremely suicidal.
They definitely have regretful emotions. It would be ignorant to think that they wouldn’t (Not saying that you’re ignorant). Also, not trying to be technical, but he isn’t responsible for billions of Human lives, only a little over 1 billion. But, now that he’s allied with Humans, I’m sure feels some form of embarrassment or regret when around them.

Oh my god… You aren’t alone there. Thel should’a went full Kieth David on Chief, and bro hugged the -Yoink- outta that ending…I’d ship it… no -Yoink!-…

There is so much to add to Thel’s character. He is a really good character, but there is still so much missing.

Same I expect some dialog between the 2 but no…
EDIT: Hopefully in Halo 6 there is some sort of dialog between the 2, maybe near the end or something

It’s cool, man. I always pictured them being capable of many emotions like humans, but they just haven’t been shown as much as they could have been. I am not sure he would feel embarrassed about how he did it. He’s that ultimate bane of humanity, a very brilliant tactician, and a passionate leader. It’s more of why he did it. The extreme embarrassment would be from the lie that influenced him and his species to go and commit mass genocide in the first place. Of course, any proud patriot would kill many for what they believe in, but when they find out that their belief was a crock of -Yoink- the whole time, they would feel like the dumbest dumb heads in the galaxy… It’s that huge embarrassing moment from the time you had to pick your nose and your high school crush saw it… Only x 100 of that embarrassment.

I feel like the chat between the two Swords of Sanghelios Warriors discussing Sali 'Nyon, Jul 'Mdama, and Thel 'Vadam had a bit of aggressive emotion in it.
Maybe after Halo 6, they could make a Covanent origins campaign. It could be seen through the eyes of the arbiters through out time, even the Halo legends (Duel) story could be made as part of the story. What do you guys think?

Most likely not gonna happen. Especially since the covenant is gone now. We have the Banished but there really is no reason to play on their side. Anyhow the rest of the halos are played as human fighting against the cortana corrupted Prometheans. 343 doesn’t about the past neither. If you want to know what happened in between before or after you better get your hands on the books. 343 is all about marketing. If they leave a huge gap people will have to buy a book to fill in the info they didnt need.

Ok, I have read it all, so I wasn’t saying I didn’t know the storyline. 343 does live in the past, otherwise we wouldn’t see any anniversary games. And making a Covanent based game through the eyes of the arbiters starting from the forming of the Covanent to the civil war with the storm Covanent. Heck the banished would be a really great enemy in the game!

The idea of a game like that sounds phenomenal, but it is sadly unlikely 343 would ever make a game like that. But that is not 343’s fault, Bungie would not make a game like that either.
I want elites playable but If they are playable they should make them stronger like in campaing. Cause in Halo 2 elites players are always killed with an easy headshot…

That is the difficulty with balancing them, it was done fairly well in reach, but with all the new movement systems the best way to balance their large size would be to make their base move speed higher. Spartan charge could be a powerful kick for elites. Thruster would be evade, ground pound the elites would not have, (not much of a loss I never use it), clamber and sprint stay the same. The large issue is the elites large size. It takes some creative balancing but I think they can do it.

Oh yeah, that pissed me off too. Arbiter just looked at him then boom, end of the game. They better have some great bromance between them in the next game!

Oh yes, that would be pretty cool. An all Sangheili game showing what Arbiter was up to while Chief was floating in space and fighting the didact.

That would be a wonderful game. 'Would help broaden the info we have on Sangheili Culture since the Arbiter was fighting on Sanghelios (both verbally and physically) for years.

Yeah, I think the larger Elite models in Reach Invasion were done well but it would be challenging to incorporate them into H5 with the various new spartan abilities.

Yes and it will never die until we are free.
I’m Back!!
And boy, do I have some news for you. Late Night Gaming (LNG) was apparently leaked the campaign and plans for Halo 5. Halo 5 was apparently a 1/3 of what 343 originally planned for the game, we’ll just have to wait to see if playable Elites was a part of 343’s plan. Watch this video yourself and look through the comments, we shouldn’t blame EVERYTHING on 343, honestly, we should be blaming Microsoft if this is true
