Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

I play Halo Reach just about 5 hours a day, I would 100% attempt to round up the community there, as I see many players that have elites as their preferred species, of course myself included.

Ok, here are where I see faults:

1.if these newer players have never seen elites as playable but also know nothing about them, then why would they resent it?
2.i think it’s rare that you’ll find new fans who havn’t heard of/seen/or even played the older games after playing their first halo with 4 or h5.
3. They have the information on playable elites, if they’re really vs it then you’d see them at least mentioning why they resent them cuz if I were to just start out with h5 and say “no elites” with no reason at all, what credibility would I have? No ones going to listen to a guy who knows absolutely nothing on playable elites.
4. Because they’re starting out with say h4 or h5, they’re used to there only being Spartans, and hearing other options being added, they then have that view that it’d take away from what they see as the normal halo experience.

I just just don’t think a newer halo fan would resent elites (and in all honesty I think very few people resent elites to begin with) just cuz they’re newer and were never exposed to seeing elites in the multiplayer.

The issue with no playable elites isn’t that people don’t like them, it’s that 343 just doesn’t see the priority in adding them. I myself don’t care for elites, I’ve established that before, but I’m in no way vs adding them even tho I more than likely will never use them. People can make all the excuses they want about why elites shouldn’t be in halo but really there isn’t. “They unbalance multiplayer!” Well balance them out then by fixing it or adding their own playlist. “It doesn’t make sense for lore reasons” well turns out there is. “no one even uses them”…why are people asking for it then? It all comes down to 343 not doing it and not seeing the need.

Thats I why I don’t see players resenting it being the issue, the only issue is 343 not doing it and seeing other things as a higher priority instead.

I see what you’re saying and it makes perfect sense and I realize that I’m in agreement. While there is a minority of people that resent elites in mp and that is a small minority, the problem with their re-implementation lies with 343’s willingness to do so.

And so far they Haven’t had the willingness to do a lot of things. Someone a few months ago said that in an article they read 343 said they would try for playable elites again.

I don’t want playable elites in arena matchmaking, especially if they had bigger character models and bigger hit boxes like they did in reach. However, there is nothing wrong with putting them in custom games or a dedicated invasion type mode.

Ive played MCC recently and there is suck a low population that half the team are guests. It takes hours just to find a game. I do see people that play as elites on there but I don’t know if they’ll respond since they mostly have guests. 343 is just cutting us off. I’ll still try the hardest I possibly can. We need to bring back elites ASAP #BringBackElites

I’m spreading the word to everyone playing as an elite that I see in H3

641 pages, still no Elites.

#343PLZ

I mean… what’s bad about it? It’s not like you’re forcing people to play as an Elite if you add them as an optional playable character. I don’t get the point of people saying “No” to that. If you don’t like it keep playing as a spartan and meanwhile there will be people that will enjoy to play as an elite.

After seeing what modders can do I’m starting to think its not that they can’t put elites in. It’s that they don’t want to put elites in. Modders can do absolutely anything to the game and yet you’re telling me 343 can’t make a hud or anything. 343 add in elites! If modders can do it so can you! 343 you own the game and have player models from both previous games and from campaign. We gave plenty of reasons of how elites can be added in. Just make them like reach exactly instead of Spartan charge and ground pound give evade, thrust and some shield amplifier it could help block incoming bullets since elites are bigger targets like you said. 343 you still lost my trust and I’m still not getting halo 6.

Give elites in custom games their own options like Spartans do so if we want we can make either one spawn with different weapons or have different amounts of shields etc… Even give the option to turn off evade sprint and that shield amplifier I came up with. See I gave a way you can add in elites. You guys need to be more creative

Man, you hit me where I live. clap *clap clap. I can’t deny that I love playing as elites. When I first played Halo Reach (my first game), I fell in love with the way they were designed, but crushed when they weren’t in Halo 4.

I felt the same way when elites were not in halo 4… It’s sad how people say elites are killing the multiplayer. I hate hearing that it obviously didn’t because if you look back at the population count for each game… Halo 2, 3 and reach had playable elites and how many people played? A lot of people played. No one complained about elites. I think it’s funny all of a sudden people are complaining about elites being unfair in multiplayer etc… Halo reach was perfect since online there was invasion which a lot of people played. Slayer was only Spartan vs Spartan. I was okay being forced to play as a Spartan in gametypes like slayer but atleast they gave an option like elite slayer I could vote for. I could obviously go play invasion which I love and miss. Halo 5 is to competitive asked and to be honest idc about griffball… Griffball is the only social playlist sadly. They need action sack etc… I’m not gonna continue about playlists no more because that’s off topic but what I said up above your post they have no excuse why they can’t add them. If modders can do it so can they. Now I proved 343 wrong 100% nobody can back them up. The only people that can prove my point invalid is 343 themselves.

That’s entirely true. There was H3 where they could play every game mode. But then people complained. Then they made them in specific game modes so nobody complained such as elite slayer, blargball, and invasion. Then were just supposed to accept them being gone with no reason other than "cannon multiplayer " then proceed to put elites in this cannon but not multiplayer. The only reason they aren’t in the game is because 343 is too lazy to give a -Yoink- about it.

They are lazy I just gave a way they can be added in. I think it would be perfectly fair.

Probably not but they’re gonna lose lots of people soon. I’m going back to MCC since I’m bored of halo 5 being to competitive and lacking custom game features. I wish I could play halo reach but the servers are so bad anymore for me anyhow…

Im back on 3. It’s nice and smooth. I’ve only had 1 laggy match and ive been playing all week. Even though only 1000 people still play it. But i feel with it. The population counter is off anyway since I can find games in playlists with 0 people. But its always interesting to people single out the only elite in ffa.
