I wouldn’t say Halo 5 is nearing it’s end just because of Halo Wars 2 coming out if only simply because HW2 will be an RTS. Halo 5’s support will likely die down as they run out of things to add in content updates, but there is still money to be made from the game so they will likely keep some focus on it for a while longer.

I remember when this guy spammed links to his video in every little corner he could find. Ah, good times.
A double-post seems absolutely fitting.
Why is this is the Halo 5 forum?

Moderators moved it and I guess it works to keep all the “Elites in Matchmaking” posts in a single noticeable place.
I mean, the Halo 5 forum didn’t even exist when it was first created…

Yep, it was moved here since everyone didn’t know it was in the H4 forums.
If I could show a video that could add to the argument of this I would a person made a video about this and argues for why Elite should return in multiplayer.
I have decided to pretty much move back to Halo Reach entirely. The ability to play in different ways as an elite are awesome. I can play to the strength that are there, it makes me happy, and it is refreshing to play as something other than a frankly generic Spartan. Because the thing is that maybe 10 years ago Spartans were cool and interesting. Now though they are just kinda generic space marines that are seen often in sci fi games.

Oh I’ve taken even a further step back I went back too 3.
Only fun and friends are keeping me at halo 5.

That’s probably the reason a lot of us are staying with 5 restless.
I would love seeing Elites in Halo 6 or added as DLC for Halo 5. I went back and played Halo 2 Anniversary for the first time in a while last night. Playing as an elite felt extremely refreshing. Seeing myself as something other than the generic plastic toy we all so commonly see in Halo 5 multiplayer. I don’t understand why 343 hasn’t addressed this issue publicly. Hopefully they are keeping tabs on this post and realize the communities sincerest need for Elites in matchmaking across all playlists, not just the invasion game modes everyone keeps mentioning.
They really need to bring it back. Do it for the fans 343! Let us coexist xD
I’m conflicted. Halo 5 is nice, especially the advanced forge. But the MCC brings back so many memories and you can play as an elite again. What do I play more :o

Conflict indeed. 343 is doing some very nice things and Forge has to be one of the best, but yet I can’t bring myself to play more than a match at a time and have no friends that play it. Amusingly enough I see Sangheili names more often on World of Tanks than I do Halo 5…

The only select game mode thing for elites is the compromise because we want them in some how even if it’s only select game modes to appease the competitive crowd.
Brothers I have taken the time to do some math.
If we count nothing but spartan Companies there are only 508 of us. But with some of us posting in this thread and not being in Sangheili companies… we are still less than 600 alive… we indeed are not a prominent as we once were.

Because much of the community that once sought to see the Sangheili return to playable status have moved on/away from Halo. Many due to the fact that they now have much more intensive personal lives. Much of the community that does not support this I presume are people who simply have not played Halo for an extensive time. It is upsetting that as you go through the history of this massive thread you can see people that used to post and now are just kind of MIA. I know many people personally who are not active on the forums that would like to see playable elites return.
Remember guys, big things have small beginnings!

Care to explain on why you think those who don’t support haven’t played halo for an extensive time? Are you imply halo 4 fans and up don’t support elites just cuz they didn’t play a halo game with them as an option? Cuz I find fualts in that arguement.
We should just try to round up as many elite players as possible on reach and the mcc (that’s right I said mcc) message them asking whether or not they want elites in future halo games, and them convince them to go on waypoint and find this thread!

There are a large group of people that resent elites in mp even though they have never seen it themselves is what I believe.
Edit* To long players of the franchise no elites in mp was a change and it was hard to accept, clearly this thread shows many don’t accept. But to people who started Halo on 4 or 5 to them elites IN multiplayer is a change. Both sides don’t like change.
